It is really possible to spend NTD 1000 per week on food. But it is impossible to eat balance. From your video, only a few vegetables in your meals. If want to have a balance diet, it is hard to use such a little money to eat out. If you cook by yourself and buy foods from traditional market, it is possible to eat balanced. But that will spend lots of time to do that. Thank you for sharing such a private thing with us. Maybe the right time has not come yet, someday you will meet your miss right.
Allan, I live in Australia and food costs about AUD$30 (approx NTD$420) per day whether I eat out or cook at home. NTD$1000 for a week is very cheap. Love watching your vlogs… Very nostalgic 🥰

Honestly 1000 TWD for a week for 1 person is very feasible. For example, earlier this year I went back to Taipei from Europe with my wife and kid and we spend a month in Taipei, I tracked my spending on food for the whole month and it was around 32k TWD. That's around 8k a week for family of 3 in Taipei, which was less than your previous spending of 11k a week.. lol

剛到台灣的外國人，可能很難抵擋很多美食的誘惑，尤其是雞排、珍珠奶茶之類的美食。但在台灣待久了，就有可能抵擋這些誘惑。不去碰那些對身體不好的東西，這樣就能省很多錢。
身為一個五十好幾的歐吉桑，平常根本不會有喝珍珠、吃雞排的欲望。尤其是幾年前為了健康(血壓高的問題)，戒掉油炸食物、高糖食物和太油膩的食物之後。身體變得無法接受像雞排、鹹酥雞之類的食物，只要聞到油耗味就會食欲全消。而且身體也很習慣控制食量的飲食，尤其假日基本上只吃兩餐。效果不只是身體變好，健檢各項數值都及格，而且也省了很多不必要的開銷。
我漸漸喜歡上你的節目，或許是更貼近台灣生活吧。一個星期破萬的生活其實只是過得比較有點生活品質的花費，但很開心你願意體驗不一樣的生活模式，加油

It is really possible to spend NTD 1000 per week on food. But it is impossible to eat balance. From your video, only a few vegetables in your meals. If want to have a balance diet, it is hard to use such a little money to eat out. If you cook by yourself and buy foods from traditional market, it is possible to eat balanced. But that will spend lots of time to do that.

我通常等全家17:00，或者7-11 20:00打折，有飯糰、便當、麵包、水果、沙拉、甜點，打折商品會貼貼紙，個人覺得app參考而已，不太準
就算台灣超商折扣食物再便宜，也不會損及品質，只是最佳賞味期限而已，跟日本差不多⋯⋯月初去香港感受完全不同，打折食物就是差點或準備要壞掉
台中有很多有名的大學，通常學區附近都會有CP值高的學生美食，建議可以試試看❤
