Win? lmao dream on. His voice isn't that captivating, and it's not like two ballads in a row are gonna win, pretty sure it won't even be a top 10. This song is overrated just because he sings in French and does special high notes, it's always like this.

Deban, most Albanians living in Switzerland are there because of the Kosovan war and the deep economic crisis, not because of "open borders". That's what the whole song is about

The ESC isn't just about party! This song isn't boring at all and you don't have to be an immigrant for to feel the song. Sometimes people don't feel home although they are native citizens. Sometimes there is a similar feeling inside that makes you feel you don't belong to a certain place, country, whatsoever und you keep asking yourself why that is so. What I am trying to say: This song talks to me in different ways. The song touches me deep inside and in my opinion it is an outstanding and beautiful masterpiece.

Personally I feel that Eurovision needs to mature and not just stay on party level, there are singers out there who offers real art and not just superficial and shallow songs.

I really don't care about the final results... This song has already win, for me.
The first time I listened to this song, tears ran down my cheeks and I don't even know why ... The slight accent he has when he sings "J'donne ma langue au chat" is really touching. This somewhat obsolete and childish French expression ( and the way he says it) makes me think of a child who tirelessly asks questions to his parents because he is afraid, of the dark clouds etc ... like a migrant child who no longer has ties and seeks answers to his anxieties and who needs to be reassured..
Each of us consciously feels this need to find comfort and answers. The strength of this song is to make this feeling accessible and understandable to everyone (except Deban maybe!) even if you don't speak French
Exactly what I felt and thought too. His voice and his accent add something magical and unique to the song. Masterpiece already. It has already won for me too.

Je regarde l'Eurovision depuis 2011, et c'est l'une des plus belles entrées que j'ai jamais entendues (et vues, car le clip est magnifique aussi). C'est sublime, du pur art musical, et la chanson donne ce sentiment étrange de nous parler directement et personnellement.
Bravo la Suisse ; c'est mon vainqueur de cette année.

Deban was fan girling over France's entry which was extremely cliché and Disney, yet he dislikes this song!!! It has depth, it has a story, it has a back ground, and can be so relateable to so many people.
I think Deban based his reviews solely on how attractive he finds the singer.

I swear Deban has like the weirdest taste in music out of all "eurovision professionals" I have ever seen. Every year all his favorites just straight out stay in the semifinals. His top 5 on the final is like the actual bottom 5. So him, sayin that this song is boring, was rather a compliment towards the song and the singer.

Seriously you cannot react to this song, is a completely new song. Gjon's Tears voice is so new that when you hear it first time you can only be in shock and be mesmerised. I don't need to know French at all. Is too good for the Eurovision Song Contest to be summitted to criticism of any kind.

This song will elevate so much with the staging. I can feel it, this has potential to look stunning live. I know its early, but if they get everything right I feel as if Switzerland could be the winner this year. No other song at the contest has that epic moment at the end which this song generates.

I don't get Deban. He is not judging the songs fairly. This is not boring, Gjon will put an spectacle and his voice will be on the center of all. He has a great presence and the song in beautiful, very personal and universal. I personally connect with Iceland's song the most. At first, I just loved it because it's hilarious and a legit bop. Then I found out the song is about his daughter, and I'm not gonna lie. I almost cried the next time I heard the song. So yeah. Point is, everyone's taste is different, and everyone's moved by or drawn to different things.
That said, I like Switzerland too.

An Hymn for the ages where belonging and walls are the words of our world. His voice and story nails it. And how long it's been since a song in French is a serious contender? Without major surprises, I only see him, Bulgaria, Iceland or Lithuania taking the cup home.

Deban, please give it another try. This is a song you need to listen to silently, you need to let the emotions go through you to understand why it has so much potential. I'm not a fan of Eurovision ballads, they are very often bland and boring. But this has sense and meaning to it, a theme that is personal to the singer and touches everyone's heart who sometimes feels lost and alone, rootless in this difficult world we're living in. GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY DAMNIT

Finally you guys reacted to songs launched before from small countries such as Switzerland (and else such as Malta, Georgia). This song is good. His voice is amazing. I stuck in my head since it's launched.
This gave me winner vibes on first listen. I only wonder if it's too similar to the previous winner. I don't think it's a rip-off of Arcade by any means, but they both have a melancholic man performing an emotional ballad with pared back production and an aa-aa-aa in the chorus. I personally prefer Répondez-moi, but we'll see how it fares in May.

Besides the fact that William's french is hilarious :-) and the accent not bad :-) I absolutely love that song it's in my top 5 this year. even though the first time i listened to it there were sentences in the lyrics I didn't get (i'm french). As someone who’s had to take French in school for six years, and didn’t understand most of what he sang, that’s at least a bit reassuring. Although my French flew out the window after graduating anyway 😂

IMO, ESC needs both kitsch and sincere art, and the in-between stuff, but the entries must be judged on their _individual_ merits, until the final contest.
