Deban, most Albanians living in Switzerland are there because of the Kosovan war and the deep economic crisis, not because of "open borders". That's what the whole song is about
The ESC isn't just about party! This song isn't boring at all and you don't have to be an immigrant for to feel the song. Sometimes people don't feel home although they are native citizens. Sometimes there is a similar feeling inside that makes you feel you don't belong to a certain place, country, whatsoever und you keep asking yourself why that is so. What I am trying to say: This song talks to me in different ways. The song touches me deep inside and in my opinion it is an outstanding and beautiful masterpiece.
I totally agree. It's a song about the existential questions we ask ourselves. Where do I belong? What's my purpose? What's my time on this earth for? It's truly beautiful. I'm totally blown away by it.
Personally I feel that Eurovision needs to mature and not just stay on party level, there are singers out there who offers real art and not just superficial and shallow songs.
My heart broke when Deban called this boring 😭 I think it's an artistic masterpiece. I'm backing Switzerland all the way, if Gjon can deliver those vocals and he has emotive staging, I think this could stand a really good chance of winning, or so I'd like to hope. 💜
Deban was fan girling over France's entry which was extremely cliché and Disney, yet he dislikes this song!!! It has depth, it has a story, it has a back ground, and can be so relateable to so many people.
I swear Deban has like the weirdest taste in music out of all "eurovision professionals" I have ever seen. Every year all his favorites just straight out stay in the semifinals. His top 5 on the final is like the actual bottom 5. So him, sayin that this song is boring, was rather a compliment towards the song and the singer.
I really don't care about the final results... This song has already win, for me. The first time I listened to this song, tears ran down my cheeks and I don't even know why ... The slight accent he has when he sings "J'donne ma langue au chat" is really touching. This somewhat obsolete and childish French expression ( and the way he says it) makes me think of a child who tirelessly asks questions to his parents because he is afraid, of the dark clouds etc ... like a migrant child who no longer has ties and seeks answers to his anxieties and who needs to be reassured.. Each of us consciously feels this need to find comfort and answers. The strength of this song is to make this feeling accessible and understandable to everyone (except Deban maybe!) even if you don't speak French

This song will elevate so much with the staging. I can feel it, this has potential to look stunning live. I know its early, but if they get everything right I feel as if Switzerland could be the winner this year. No other song at the contest has that epic moment at the end which this song generates.

It's okay for two people to not have the same taste in music. What's not okay is to call someone dead inside for having a different taste in music than you, and asking for someone to slap them (even though I suspect that part wasn't as serious as the rest). Disagreeing is fine, but be civil.
An Hymn for the ages where belonging and walls are the words of our world. His voice and story nails it. And how long it's been since a song in French is a serious contender? Without major surprises, I only see him, Bulgaria, Iceland or Lithuania taking the cup home.
Really Deban? This masterpiece is boring? Rn im getting annoyed by your taste. You like france and moldova is absolute joke. This is way better than those entry.
Fruzz deep He like France and Moldova?! Literally skips both of them when they’re comes on Spotify. He also like the Czech revamp.....like what🤷🏼♀️? I know that everyone who is entitled to their own opinion.....but like.....👀
This gave me winner vibes on first listen. I only wonder if it's too similar to the previous winner. I don't think it's a rip-off of Arcade by any means, but they both have a melancholic man performing an emotional ballad with pared back production and an aa-aa-aa in the chorus. I personally prefer Répondez-moi, but we'll see how it fares in May.
Deban, please give it another try. This is a song you need to listen to silently, you need to let the emotions go through you to understand why it has so much potential. I'm not a fan of Eurovision ballads, they are very often bland and boring. But this has sense and meaning to it, a theme that is personal to the singer and touches everyone's heart who sometimes feels lost and alone, rootless in this difficult world we're living in. GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY DAMNIT
Besides the fact that William's french is hilarious :-) and the accent not bad :-) I absolutely love that song it's in my top 5 this year. even though the first time i listened to it there were sentences in the lyrics I didn't get (i'm french). He's not mumbling but ..almost. But I love it. The musicality is just perfect.
As someone who’s had to take French in school for six years, and didn’t understand most of what he sang, that’s at least a bit reassuring. Although my French flew out the window after graduating anyway 😂
This song hit me hard. The only one I know by heart already. Win or no win I like it and thats why I love ESC. There can b only 1 but everybody can find something for them selves.
The chemistry between these two is golden. Deban is playing devil’s advocate and it’s all great entertainment. Both of the hosts agreeing is boring so this makes things more interesting in a reaction video. Well done!
I appreciate a lot Deban's smart way to instigate a debate with Will about this masterpiece. This way all the qualities of this track have come out with the deserved emphasis. I'm 1,000% sure that he doesn't think at all that this song is boring. This year Switzerland will be touching another galaxy, the voice of this fantastic singer is just supernatural. 12 points pour la Suisse de l'Italie avec plein d'amour!
William, you are right .

I almost cried the next time I heard the song. So yeah. Point is, everyone's taste is different, and everyone's moved by or drawn to different things.
That said, I like Switzerland too.
I agree with William. My first impression was the same when I heard it. It's a contender to win.
I have a feeling it’s gonna have amazing staging and climb up to the top in the bookies in the lead up to the contest.
Deban, if you cannot hear a masterpiece you are deaf
Or his taste just differs from yours?
@@sharkfinn4 , You must admit Bach is a genius of music even you don't like classical music! Otherwise you are a lost cause and you should made reviews on sport or something else
William you really got a hold on me .tank you for making a difference in this word full of common souls.
favorite song this year ❤️❤️❤️
I get it that sometimes they play it "the good cop and the bad cop" but in this case Deban is just WRONG !
Wow! Deban's reaction shows that he is dead inside!! Boring!!?? This!!?? William! Slap him back to his senses please! This is the most beautiful song ever!!! Winner!!
It's okay for two people to not have the same taste in music. What's not okay is to call someone dead inside for having a different taste in music than you, and asking for someone to slap them (even though I suspect that part wasn't as serious as the rest). Disagreeing is fine, but be civil.
@@sharkfinn4 Minding one's own business is another form of being civil. Don't preach what you do not practice.
I understand Deban, I had the same reaction the first time I heard it. But now it really grew on me and I think it is one of my favourites D:
My winner for this year 🇨🇭 congrats i love it 🖤🖤
An Hymn for the ages where belonging and walls are the words of our world. His voice and story nails it. And how long it's been since a song in French is a serious contender? Without major surprises, I only see him, Bulgaria, Iceland or Lithuania taking the cup home.
Sometimes i really cant understand Deban's taste. He is amazed by Moldova's prison but call this masterpiece as 'boring'.
William is again the one with good taste.
This is the masterpiece of Eurovision 2020. Excellent melody, voice, lyrics.
It’s my predicted winner at the moment
This is a complete masterpiece for me, it has a winning quality, William should do this reactions alone
I LOVE THIS SONG . VERY BEAUTIFUL , Switzerland sure qualifier this year! And I'm very happy . This is their revenge after 2017 and 2018 NQ !!
He's definitely one of the contenders along with Lithuania, Iceland and Bulgaria
I know that everyone who is entitled to their own opinion.....but like.....👀
@@leapinggrotto4926 im pretty sure his opinion is biased
There is a thing called "opinion" and Deban's one doesn't have to match yours :/
Deban don‘t like it because it‘s switzerland, like every year
@@19LAKing94 Yes, he also didn't like Luca....
Deban, you need a break.
Its amazing how intuitive they are, inspiring! They understood the significance of the library and his wondering in the video
I just wanna say that I love that William gets the point of just about every song he reacts to and he recognizes the different strengths of each song.
The song is going to be classic Eurovision song that will last for long time. The song is enchanting and the singer is amazing.
I love love love this song!!!
Deban is not judging the songs rightfully ! THERE IS A REASON WHY THERE ARE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES OF SONGS AND EVERY AND EACH OF THEM ARE EQUALS !
Deban needs a lesson of taste, just saying.
It's my number 1 by far.
This is only song from this year’s Eurovision that is on my repeat
Deban, please give it another try. This is a song you need to listen to silently, you need to let the emotions go through you to understand why it has so much potential. I'm not a fan of Eurovision ballads, they are very often bland and boring. But this has sense and meaning to it, a theme that is personal to the singer and touches everyone's heart who sometimes feels lost and alone, rootless in this difficult world we're living in. GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY DAMNIT
already did, it's more annoying than anything else, you just say that because it's in French.
Hahahaha Deban's face when that final note kicked in
It’s my winner 🇨🇭
Besides the fact that William's french is hilarious :-) and the accent not bad :-) I absolutely love that song it's in my top 5 this year. even though the first time i listened to it there were sentences in the lyrics I didn't get (i'm french). He's not mumbling but ..almost. But I love it. The musicality is just perfect.
As someone who’s had to take French in school for six years, and didn’t understand most of what he sang, that’s at least a bit reassuring. Although my French flew out the window after graduating anyway 😂
It will win its semi final for sure
This is in my top 2. :) I absolutely love it and it wouldn't surprise me if it won.
Winner vibes 💙
Good luck to Switzerland🇨🇭 it's a masterpiece
This song hit me hard. The only one I know by heart already. Win or no win I like it and thats why I love ESC. There can b only 1 but everybody can find something for them selves.
The chemistry between these two is golden. Deban is playing devil’s advocate and it’s all great entertainment. Both of the hosts agreeing is boring so this makes things more interesting in a reaction video. Well done!
I love how William analyses deep meanings in videos and songs, I'm too dumb to understand all these metaphors lmao
The song its just beautiful, one of the best this year, not at all boring❤️
I really like that Swiss entry by Gjon's Tears. I listen to it on repeat on Spotify.
U can say all you want, but this video was very entertaining to watch hahaha
amazing voice. it's not boring, it's gentle and aristocratic.
