Sorry, im a little confused. If a mutal fund has a NAV of $1000 and a front end load of 6%, does that mean that an investor need to play $1060 to invest or pay the $1000 NAV and deduct $60 making initial investment 940? If the latter, how is your investment of $940 worth $1000 of a mutal fund? An answer will be much appreciated.
I was signing up for an account with TD Ameritrade and I was baffled to learn of a $49.99 charge for no-load mutual funds and I wanted to know where this charge comes from?
@@user-vv6cb9vo7d well i mean you'd need to call and ask TD Ameritrade... I'm not sure why you think this video would help answer TD Ameritrade's specific policies?
Couple of questions. On front end loads - is that only applied to the initial investment? Say I open an account today and invest 3k and I invest 1k every 6 months afterwards. Would I only be charged for the 3k? On the operating expenses - are those charged monthly, quarterly, or annually? Are operating expenses charged on the earnings as well? On the back enders - Are you charged on the earnings?
As a beginner and someone not well versed in investing you do a tremendous job making sense of all this jargon.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad it could help.

Really a case by case basis.
There's actually three types of loads you should be covering even though one isn't used hardly at all it could pop up for people.
What's the other one?
Great video 🙏
Thank you 🙌

All those things can get a bit "twisty"... it's best to take it one by one and talk to whomever is offering the mutual funds.
