I have been to Isla Mujeres and Holbox multiple times and I LOVE Holbox. Playa Norte is a stunningly beautiful beach with amazingly clear water but it is just too packed with people. Holbox has such a laid back beach vibe, which may not be for everyone, especially if you are looking for a lot of activities. But if you want to completely unplug, relax on a beach not surrounded by people, Holbox is your place!
Funny enough, last time we visited Holbox has been packed with people too, we still love the island vibe but the noise of the golf carts and the problem with the sewage lately has been a major issue 🥲🥲. Thanks for watching and commenting
Good summary of the islands. I only went to Cozumel for a day and rented a bicycle. I cycled for 45 minutes south looking for a good snorkeling spot. I avoided the paid ones and found a family in the water just 20 meters from the road. I went in and the fish and corals were absolutely amazing. I was snorkeling just 5 to 15 meters from shore. I didn't have equipment to record and so tried to find videos of Mexico snorkeling, but nothing comes close to the vibrant colours I saw on that day in April 2022. A memory I'll always treasure.
*Hola Fiona* 👋👋 Awesome, that's something we like about Cozumel, if you look or even ask the locals we can find some FREE snorkeling spots. In Cozumel, it's where we found the most amazing sea life we've ever seen in our lives. Thank you for sharing your story, and for watching our video. Thank you so much 🙏🤗 .
I thought a lot about it between Isla Mujeres and Cozumel Island, but according to you, Isla Mujeres' beach is number one. Also you said that it have to take a boat to see clean seawater from Cozumel Island. Your video was very helpful to me because I am considering traveling to Cancun from far away Korea. Thank you very much for helping me on my once-in-a-lifetime trip to Cancun. ❤❤❤
You will love Isla Mujeres and for us will prefer it over Cozumel. Anyway you can read some of our blogs here fortheroadtravels.com/mexico-travel-blog/riviera-maya/ We talk a bit In depth about Isla Mujeres and Cozumel
Yes, but I think there are only few cities from the US 🇺🇸 that goes directly to Cozumel, isn’t it? But it’s great you can go straight to this beautiful island!! Thank you for watching and commenting Sandy 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗🤗
Hi also from Minnesota. We flew from Minneapolis to Cancun. Our final destination was Cozumel, but the direct flight to Cozumel was 500$ more. But it was a pain arranging taxis and a one night hotel at playa, then the ferry to Cozumel. Next time, I will be hoping to go direct to Cozumel at a decent price. Maybe right now everything is high?
Really loved Isla Holbox and could see us visiting there again in the future. Isla Mujeres beaches are a dream. Playa Norte is just stunning and although we have visited 3 times, I would definitely visit again. Can't comment on Cozumel, well not yet, we will be visiting for the first time in April. Just spending 3 nights on the island, enough time to rent a car for the day to explore the whole island and another full day to do a snorkeling 🤿tour. Not sure why we have taken this long to visit, but we are not too fond of destinations with cruise ports.😵💫 They just seem so overly busy, so I am sure this is what has kept us away all this time. 🥴
We do agree with you, we are not such fans of *Cozumel* Island, mainly when cruise ships are docked for the day, the downtown area becomes very busy, on the other hand the other two islands are incredible, and we love them 🤗🤩 . Thank you again for watching and commenting amiga. Sending you a big hug from PDC 🏝 🇲🇽.
Yes, Cozumel has become the number one cruise ship destination in the Mexican Caribbean, but still preserves some of its charm in some areas such as El Cedral.
Hola *John* 👋👋 Thank you so much for your comment, really makes our day 🙏🤩. We always try to provide all the information we gathered while traveling to those destinations and helping other traveler's to choose the right place to visit. Thank you again for watching, this really helps us so much ❤️
I have to agree about Cozumel with one exception: Playa Palencar. Playa Palencar is as beautiful as Playa Centro or Playa Norte in Isla. Also, some of the bluest, clearest water I have seen was in El Cielito off of Cozumel. I just returned from Kuredu, Omadhoo, and Saii in the Maldives and El Cielito is as nice as Omadhoo.
*Hola amigo* 🙌 Thank you for watching, commenting, and sharing your opinion, we love hearing from other travellers. Yes, we might just have had a bad day with the day and the tour operator we used the day went to El Cielito, we hope to give a second shot to this area because looks incredible too. Thank you once again 🙏🤗

I know there's a South African family that has been living there for quite some time 🫶 Those two long sleeve suites I had, I got off of Amazon Mexico. They were some of the only long sleeve options they had, but tbh, the quality of the fabric is terrible and neither lasted very long 🥲 I have seen some really good quality long-sleeve suits at Bari Swimwear on 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen 🙏 I hope you enjoy your time here 🌴🥰
