People sleep on the amount of assists Titi got. An all round complete player, the reason why he’s the greatest player in prem history is because he could do everything
The speed, the control, the vision, the passing, the assists, the skills, the free kicks, the long balls, the scoring from any angle, the calmness, the confidence, the ability to take players on, the stamina, the sheer intelligence, the unselfishness, the competitiveness.... have we missed anything?
TH14 and R9 are the goat strikers of their age. They inspired a generation of strikers. Henry has made his finish a trademark now every striker does it.
Thierry was such an intelligent player, possibly the best we have seen in the PL. If you watch him as a pundit he has an odd combination of being an honest critic but never seems to be controversial. Pure class
Great to see Ben killing it with this new gig. It seems to make such a big difference to whoever he interviews, that their paths have crossed previously, putting them at ease instantly and allowing us to see the real character behind the names.
Henry was that good that even fans of rival clubs can't help but admire him. When you think of the Premier League he's one of the first players you think of. We were blessed to have him playing here back when La Liga and Serie A were arguably on top.
When we were younger we barely saw or heard players outside of the game, now they are everywhere in different forms of media (Podcasts, social media etc). Seeing all-time greats like Henry having banter all the time makes people underrate how GREAT they are.
As a United fan, I couldn’t help but admire Thierry Henry. He had ridiculous skills. In his pomp, similar to Ronaldinho. Did things in a different dimension that CR7 and Messi couldn’t do. That goal on the turn against United whilst being man marked, top corner past Barthez was one of the best goals I’ve seen, along with the Bergkamp swivel goal against Newcastle. Sometimes you just have to admire and applaud greatness. Thierry & Bergkamp had it. (As did Cantona, but that’s for another day!!)
Sometimes i feel like nowadays the Neymars and Mbappe or whoever, that has that kind of talent, they show it in the "smaller" games and try to show their superiority to these players. Back in the day the 3 you named they had the charisma and character to show or display it against the very best and embarrass them, like almost to show the weaker players, "look i can do it with JT or against United, imagine what i could do to you" i miss that a little bit.
Remember I was in hospital with open heart surgery Mr Henry signed me a letter and put a smile on my face before having it done the best player eever watched love the guy 🔴⚪️
Really? Man U fans loved Gerrard? Spurs fans loved Sol after he went to Arsenal? Anybody who didn't support Chelsea loved John Terry? Not sure about that 😂 Everyone appreciated Titi though, he was a true world class player and a top bloke
Didn’t have to “love”, certainly respected. As an Arsenal supporter, while I hated having the team play Keane, Scholes or Giggs, in the end there was considerable respect for that United team.
There are certain players which can make any random person to love this beautiful game and add them to the fanbase of the game. TH was one of them. What a beast. That speed and that flair. One of the best of all time. 👌
The King 👑 So many happy memories from this man during my childhood.. I don't think I will ever see a better player put on the Arsenal shirt in my lifetime. Thank you TH#14.
For me, the stats are irrelevant - Henry was an unbelievable player regardless of not hitting 800 or whatever goals. Witnessing Henry glide past players and making it look so effortless, like he wasn't even competing against footballers (literally men against schoolboys) was what made him a personal favourite forward over the players considered the best in the world. Henry just made it look SO easy - with 99.9% of other players you can just see they are working so hard - not just dribbling, but every other aspect of the game. Messi and Ronaldo are brilliant in their own right, but Henry just oozed a class that no player (regardless of talent) has been able to match. I highly doubt there will ever be a player remotely close to his level of "cool" to grace a football pitch
The greatest ever premier league player , I remember seeing him at Highbury tearing Leeds United apart 5-0 which he scored 4 goals - very special player
Two legends of the game helping us to analyze and understand the elite level of the game. Thank you Titi for all the memories inside/ outside the game. You’re character , and humbleness and confidence at the same time is true, inspirational. Forster also doing a fantastic job as a host/interviewer with several players like titi, scheicmhel and ramsdale.
My Legend what an absolute King. The charisma off the charts that’s my guy. Thank you for everything you did for my club & say now about us Titi, you never sell out just tell it how it is.
A phenomenal footballer throughout his career! Unique touch and skill, brilliant finisher and chance creator! I love seeing him like this, you can can see he has surpassed the game and his intelligence and understanding of it is just spot on!
Im a spurs fan but it’s always a joy to hear Henry speak about football as long as it’s not about arsenal or tottenham, his passion and knowledge on the game is A1
Every answer of his has a different explanation like a perspective you won't hear elsewhere. His way of thinking really shows how analytical and fast-acting he must have been on the pitch.
As a Chelsea fan since 1995, Henry is EASILY the greatest ever Premier League player. There is nobody like him. Nobody could hurt a team in so many different ways he did. Nobody struck fear in the opponents like him. I've watched Chelsea come up against Messi and C.Ronaldo, but never had that "fear" feeling, only Henry gave me that feeling.
I wish there would be more interviews like this. It is always amazing to know what great players think like. After all, the champions are made in the mind!
What a great interviewer Ben Foster is. He asks the question and then lets the person give their answer without interrupting. He listens to the answer. It’s something that a lot of interviewers don’t do. I think he would be great doing this full time maybe. He’s certainly a lot better than a lot of other people that do this.
He’s the only player in the HISTORY of English football to record a 20/20 during a league season (20+ goals and 20+ assists during the season 02/03) 20+ goals and 20+ assists in a league season People don’t seem to understand how truly amazing that is to do. It will probably never be repeated (in England) To put it into prospective Messi is the best player ever and he’s only recorded one league 20/20 season during his career (19/20 season)
