I love Shawn. He knows a 1000 times more about boxing than the people he talks to , has been in at the world class level and yet he talks to people who know so little and he never disrespects them or acts like a know it all.
I like Devin by unanimous decision.
I think it’s going to be similar to Zab and Floyd. Regis takes the first 3 rounds, tires himself out, then Devin picks him apart the remainder of the fight and potentially gets a KO.

One thing nobody has said is haneys combination punching… Regis has never fought someone with the speed and combinations.. so a clean fast uppercut could knock Regis out.. a clean fast over hand right could knock Regis out…

Haney does have the potential to knock Regis out. I’ve said before if you’ve ever competed in a sport where you cut weight then you know how different and how good you feel when you don’t cut as much weight so there’s a possibility of a knockout for Haney. Also most of Haney’s knockouts came from counters so if Regis comes in too aggressive he could get caught they say deadliest punch in boxing is the one you don’t see coming

Haney hasn't knocked anyone down in five years. So yeah, he'll move up in weight class and knock out a rough and tumble dude like Prograis. That makes no sense in the world, and he doesn't even get checked on it. You guys know and like Devin so he gets a pass.
I could see him dropping regis coming in or hurting him if he hits him enough throughout the 12 rounds. He did that to kambosos in their 2nd fight. Kambosos was a bloody mess and on wobbly legs in one of the championship rounds. I think him killing himself to make 135 the past 3 years has probably made him weak on fight night. People dont realize if you cut too much weight it works against you more than it helps you. It can also really affect your abiloty to take a shot.
@@Mike-hy8cs there is no real tradition of boxers going up and gaining power. Usyk and Holyfield's heavyweight kos were generated by accumulation. Maybe Haney can get him late that way, but, Idunno, he never really hurt Loma and was lost in the later rounds, so .... Other guys who moved up and kept power, Roy Jones and Hearns, already had big cannons to begin with. There is no evidence of that in any way in Devin. And Prograis has way more heart and toughness, and more skill, than Kabmozo, whose strategy in the second fight was idiotic. Haney may win this fight, but outside of steroids, it is very hard to believe that he's going to suddenly grow into some kind of mystical knockout power. Maybe he knocks him down by pushing him off the podium at the weigh in?
@@charlesbock6467 I mean i wouldnt say its common but pacquaio is a good example. He wasnt knocking dudes out at those lower weight classes. Also Devin was knocking guys out earlier on in his career then he has had a streak of not knocking guys out for the past 3-4 years. Which i think isnt a coincidence that hes been complaining about the weight cut for the past 3 years. There will be no evidence until we see how he looks saturday night Thats the only way we know for sure.

This is my prediction. Haney is too slick a boxer for Regis. Styles make fights and it’s a bad style for Regis why I think Haney is very confident. I don’t agree with Haneys power increasing just don’t think he has been blessed with pop. However, if Regis does have a chance it’s got to be timing. Kambosos has some success timing and punching WITH Haney. Unfortunately, though landing a few good shots, Kambosos did not have the necessary pop. Regis in the other hand is very heavy handed and Ill tell you what, a few of those well timed hooks to the head and body can change the fight. But, this is difficult and I’ve got Haney by a very very boring decision 😂
No he's not. The first left handed opponent Haney ever fought was JoJo Diaz, and Diaz made Haney's jab nonexistent. The 2nd he fought was Vasyl, and he too took away Haney's jab. Haney has major problems against left handed opponents. Haney landed just 10 jabs against JoJo Diaz, and landed just 20 against Vasyl. So in his two fights against left handed opponents, he threw 399 jabs, but landed just 30 total jabs. He threw 188 jabs against Vasyl and 211 against JoJo Diaz, and again, landed a total of 30 jabs in both fights. Left handed opponents have totally taken away Haney's top weapon, his jab. Regis also fights in a left handed stance. I have a feeling Regis is also gonna take away Haney's jab. I would not be surprised if Regis actually won a decision against Haney.
