Because let's be honest, without this artist hardly anyone would listen to songs in Russian, Italian, French or Kazakh. Apart from the fact that he opens people's hearts and ears for music genres besides the typical pop mush.

Hi, Shane. I've missed seeing you react to Dimash, it's always a pleasure. I feel a little sad in this video when Dimash tells his father, "I want to go home". He means it, and I think if his father hadn't come, Dimash might have withdrawn from the show. At only 22 years old, this is his first time staying in another country, away from his very close family with whom he has lived in the same home all his life. He's in a country where no one speaks his language, he can't understand what they're saying, he's having trouble adjusting to a complete change in diet, loses a ton of weight, and he's working his tail off, knowing that he's representing his entire country. It's a lot to ask of anyone. In spite of the obstacles, Dimash succeeded in winning the hearts of China and launching himself on an international stage. So young.

This is one my fav videos. what a wonderful spontaneous smile when he saw his Dad. Fun side note...Dimash said once in a interview if he had known his Dad was there, he wouldn't been so " cheeky" lol but it was very cheekiness made it such fun Please Dimash's " We Are One" There are two videos of this, one is solo, the other he sings with children. Both are incredible
There are actually 3 versions of “We are one”; the Chinese one, the one for the rest of the world (they have different beginnings), then the one with the children participants of Bagaty Bagta contest .

Since you want to explore music, pls pls react to Jacob Collier singing the cover Fix You by Coldplay. He kills it, believe me. And listen to Tiny Desk and all other covers he dropped. Amazing, stunning and completely different. Don't listen to them before yr reaction, but pls read something about him. Stay safe and healthy, peace from Italy

Hi Shane, That was a beautiful reaction ❤ yeah when Dimash was invited onto the show he just travelled with a mate to China knowing his dad would get there when his own commitments allowed, this was only episode 2 so he didn't expect him so soon. The shows producers kept him hidden from Dimash all afternoon until the performances and Dimash was so overwhelmed to see him. Dimash did say that if he had known his dad was there he wouldn't have been so flirty and cheeky with the audience !! Bless. 👍👍😊😊Btw I have subscribed 👍
