Hey lovely People! I've been a little quiet on here over the weekend but didn't in any way forget about you! Stay tuned for some fun videos coming your way this week 😍 If you have time please give this video a thumbs up and leave a comment to support me, thanks so much kha ❤️😊🙏🏻
I love exploring the night markets in Thailand as it has a wide array of authentic thai street foods and inexpensive too. Raya restaurant is very popular amongst locals as well as tourists brought in by tour groups. Food is fragrant and delicious. The red gluey stuff you eaten is known as Ang Koo Kueh amongst chinese, stuff with mung bean paste. The fillings can also include peanut, red bean, yam etc. Enjoy your night out. Its always fun with Bruno around.🍜🦪🦞🌮🍻
Hi Kheng, oh thanks for teaching me about Ang Koo Kueh, it was quite loud there so it was difficult for me to understand the name 😃 the night markets in Thailand are always very exciting 😊
@@careysevents Night markets....all over the world is always exciting because it showcase local cuisines. Not always the healthiest food served because deep fried usually. Hygience wise...need to be careful because they are street foods afterall. You need a strong stomach!
Thanks Carey, Bruno and partner night market looked well busy, food looked good especially that curry, not the biggest fan of putting sunglasses on a cat😮

Hi Carey. Awesome video. I love Phuket Old Town and especially the Thalang Road Sunday Market. The Raya Restaurant is now on the list for my next visit. Thank you. 🙏👍😍
Love kanom jeen for breakfast lunch or dinner! (the crab coconut sauce version you had!) I have had some awesome & cheap kanom jeen crab at Krabi. Soooo good & 25 baht a plate. The noodles are fermented rice noodle. Very delicate.
Hi Carry, looks great fun as always the walking street market in phuket town, and that crab curry also delicious. Thanks for keeping us in touch with you and Phuket
Oh I was there too Sunday but late arvo! My first time as well & I was pleasantly surprised…. an eclectic mix of all sorts of things really. Reminded me a little of the streets of Hoi An. It’s certainly worth a visit… wish I’d had longer.
Oh that's true, I visited Hoi An about 6 years ago and really loved it there. We were originally going to go there after Thailand but our flights got cancelled and now we are still here. I still hope to go back there one day though 😊
@@careysevents Yes like you I had original plans for Vietnam (March ‘21), but detoured to Thailand 😁 It’s worked out perfectly & it seems Vietnam is finally sorting themselves out too, so hoping to head there June/July…
I just had to laugh when I saw the lady with the cat as I've got a photo of her and that cat that I took in that market 2 years ago 😄 I'm traveling to Phuket at the end of this week and hoping to visit that market again while I'm there - so much tasty food 😋
Nice one Carey. As a foodie myself you can't beat delicious mouthwatering foods. Good to see phuket town busy. Also sending my best wishes to you & your family. Best wishes. Mike 😊

Hello Carey, it is 11.00pm in Perth, and I am still awake. This video brings back a lot of memories. I remember the market in Phuket town, quite interesting. There was a big Vase, and I looked at for at least 15 minutes. I liked it, but did not know how to bring it home to Perth. I couldn't take it in the plane with me, as it was to big for me to take it like a hand luggage. I was to scared to put it in the hold. I did not know how the luggage handlers would hande it. So I decided not to buy it. I regret it. My cousin in London had the same Vase. It was made in Japan, and it was antique. I have a lot of antique things in my house. I went once to a swap market here, 10 minutes drive from where I live. I looked at a very antique phone. Over 200 years old. The couple infront of me were arguing about it. The wife wanted it, but the husband said, it was too expensive. [$60] He had a cigarette in one hand. A packet of cigarettes in Perth cost $50. So as soon as the couple moved. I told the lady I will take it. Another thing, I liked my sugar cane drink every morning near JungCeylon. Carey looking at your videos and watching Thailand videos every day, makes me want to fly to Thailand sooner. Another thing I treasure is Crystal, and my house is full of it. Take care, stay safe, and God Bless.
Hey Victor, oh I can imagine that would be tricky bringing such a large vase home. i did see a lot of interesting things at the market too, brought home a small hand knitted dinosaur and a small mermaid for Hailey 😊
Amazing night market! Very busy (is this on a Sunday or Monday night?). Lots of locals and foreigners. Great food variety at the night market and they look very appetising. Should make for a great tourist draw. Great to see u guys are having a great time there!
Hi PS, it's an amazing market and so much to choose from! It's every Sunday night, opps I forgot to mention that :) wishing you a good start to the new week!
I enjoyed this street market ... I do recall going to a street market with a male Thai friend called Banky in 2007 somewhere in Phuket Old Town I remember it was Chinese Vegetable Festival or Season which was a strange experience watching Thai/Chinese men sort of torturing themselves whilst eating in a restaurant watching yep odd 😆 🤣 😂 ... See you male friend on form joking around 😆
Happy new week Carey. I was surprised to see the market so busy and I am curious as to the mask rules now There seemed to be a lot of people walking around without masks????? Take care always
Hi Carey I already commented on another Video but you probably didn’t see it. I had a question about a travel advise with a baby. Would you recommend 3 week holidays in Phuket with a 5 month old baby? (We’re from switzerland). We’d love to spend this summers holidays in thailand with our baby but really not sure if that’s realistic… Cheers🌸
Where did you put your kids when you out ? Because Iam coming with my kids and I don’t know how the situation will look like !! Do you think we can do activities with kids ?
hi Carey i just saw a few of your videos. I am an Aboriginal/Indigenous woman from Australia and I am seriously thinking of moving to Phuket, due to Australia high cost of living and I need a break from lobbying the govt on the rights of Indigenous ppl here in Australia. M y physical n mental health needs attention. I am a single mum with a 13yr old son. I was wondering if you know anything about the Panyotai Waldorf steiner school in Phuket? Also any apartments 2 bedroom close to the school. I am hoping to move in September. I am now doing research on aspects of visa requirements the right schooling for my son. kind regards Michelle
