I was sent some Colorfusion PPF to test out and was pleasantly surprised.
This video will show you how to vinyl wrap a small and complex shape such as the side cowl on a Jeep Gladiator / Wrangler. I'm using Vvivid Colorfusion PPF in this video, which is a new material to hit the market. It offers the esthetic of color change, while also offering the benefits you get from clear paint protection film.

I'm going to try and wrap my own hood on my Alfa Romeo Giulia. I'm using Vivid True R carbon fiber. I don't have access to a garage so I'll be doing this outdoors. The temperature this weekend will be around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Provided the wind isn't blowing to hard, is there any issues to look out for?

IMHO it's not a problem to wrap such difficult parts nicely. The problem comes out only after couple of weeks/months in hot and cold weather when certain areas start lifting. On this piece with my luck certainly the most recessed area would pop up. IMHO the correct way to wrap it is different. The flat areas need to be the ones in stress, so that when the material starts shrinking over time, the flat part holds it in place. But just my opinion and experience.

Ck, your videos have been extremely helpful, as I am currently wrapping my Lexus RC 350. I am using vinylfrog wrap and absolutely hate the material. I did the roof in Avery gloss black and it was so easy. Do u have experience with vinylfrog? I’m trying to figure out if I’m just bad or if the film is just terrible

Hi Chris, I ordered a piece of Vvivid satin rose to try wrapping my Murano 2019 roof rails that go from side to side to give it a touch of color. I want to find it easier in a parking lot with hundreds of white SUVs. Would you advise to unscrew the rails off the top to do this work?
Do you have an email to send you photos and ask for instructions?

Been watching these videos for years. Started wrapping my s2000 in avery gloss white. A couple weeks ago it was too cold and the material was tough to work with, now it's warmer and the vinyl is easier to work with but leaves glue lines every time I reposition. I guess I need an (almost) perfectly temperature controlled garage for this. I do love watching a pro craftsman in his element, tons of respect for what you do. I love the videos, will keep watching. :)

From your videos I tried my hand at wrapping my Ram tailgate did great from what I learned from you. One problem I have is where the flat part meets the bend in tailgate I have about 5 in. Xjust under 1/2in that won't stay stuck. I have heated number of times it goes away but always comes back. I'm at a loss. Anything I can do. And yes I put small pock in it with cutter.

That's your problem perhaps. That is my opinion only. I could be completely WRONG, but in MY experience with Vivid vinyl, its always been hard to keep it from lifting on those areas. Maybe it's just me.

Sorry to interrupt, but did you mean 0.65 mil thick instead of 6.5 mil thick? That's the difference between a stack of printer paper and a few human hairs. So, I'm guessing it's supposed to be 0.65 mil. Nonetheless, very nice work, and thank you for all the things you have taught us over the years

@@brandonlouden583 you are correct he talks about different measurements instead of the ones the rest of the world is used to. I'm sorry to confuse "mill" with "mill" you know, millions of a inch or millimeters.
