West thought that after the fall of USSR there would be no more threats to Western Europe but now Western leaders realize how wrong they were about Russia & Putin. Currently US economy is doing fairly well and Ukraine funding bill is stopped not for economic reason but for political reason. Yes, it is a war of attrition where (combined) NATO economy is 25 times bigger than Russia's. All over the Western world governments are raising their defense budgets but it will take many more months before new armament facilities start production.
