I work at a retro game shop, I put in an obscure request for this game when I first started about a year and a half ago. We had a very good year, I did very well on all my sales and trades and did a good job with the store and earned a bonus. During my review the owner reached into his pocked and pulled out a friggin copy of Hagane and said "Here's your bonus, keep up the good work!" I was friggin STOKED 2 days I've had the game and I already managed to beat it. Now I wanna learn to speed run it too since this game is so fluid in it's control.
Sick game. Mix of traditionnal and futuristic art is nuts. The game is hard, there's a lot of different moves and combos. Didn't know there was so much subtility on attacks and boss patterns. Learnt a lot. Man, there's no game like this anymore.
Ironic that this game was a blockbuster exclusive, since by next year blockbuster will become a memory. No thanks to them most gamers will probably never get the chance to play. Great speedrun; keep the marathons going! :)
@@elvinechevarria8079 You & me both ◇ I was 14 when I bought my (cartridge-only) copy in ~2004 off eBay for $11.99. Reason being I "mained" SNES at the time and was therefore constantly scouring its library for fringe titles & oddities---which 'Hagane' definitely seemed to be, haa~ The half-dozen screenshots I managed to find online at the time made it seem like an intriguing-enough "hidden gem" (even back then), so I took the chance on it. One of my few unquestionably sound (albeit remarkably random) "life choices".▪
More warnings of epilepsy please? I never hear of them and i dont wanna end up seeing people say : i nearly died of a seizure If u see this sgdq please tell the rest...
well theres some games of nes/snes that where made in japan and back then as well they didnt really take awareness of epilepsy they just thinked it looked fun/good/awesome
False, hagane was not a blockbuster exclusive game. it was sold damn near everywhere, I had a copy Christmas morning because I read up on it in egm and begged my aunt to get, she wasn't the type to kill her self looking for it and I had to tell her where to get it which was a local mom and pop game shop

Sold it for 10 bucks to a friend around 2008. Worst decision of my life.
Then in 2009, the myth that it was a Blockbuster exclusive began. Before that, it was usually 30-50 bucks.
Unless you've actually played this game it's pretty hard to understand how hard this game is. Very impressive run
this is actually notoriously hard as fuck. this speedrun is incredibly impressive
I like that the runner was saying it's not unusual with three fifty (dollars) almost exactly when the run time is three fifty

my favorite part isn't the just the speed run...but the fact that he's trying to put on a microphone while doing a solid speed run. nice work
I found a copy of this game at a Vintage Stock store yesterday going for $499.99. Probably the only time I'll ever see it in person.

15:44 Damn Impressive
Yo, SDA! I was wondering if you guys could make a playlist and put all the runs in order? That would be sick!
Back when they thought $285 was a lot for this game. Give me ten copies at that price now.
now $800 crazy glad I have one copy

For some reason the sound effects sounds like genesis/megadrive rather than SNES.
Damn this is a slick SNES game, I might have to snag it some day. Cool run!
Hope you've got $400USD handy!
I have 50$ ready to buy the SFC version! I got rid of the plastic that prohibits Japanese games from fitting into NTSC SNES's. It's super easy.
i could never beat the first stage of this game... now that im seeing this... it gets me so pissed xD
thank God I still own mine from childhood CIB and everything!
Leo Garza post a vid plz
A hagane speed run???? Damn
That Reimu plushie...
Not a Blockbuster exclusive....They just like to say it soo the price can go up ridiculously high

That enemy at the end is great.
This game is a great classic to me ;-)
He speed runs Hagane and Nier? This guy has a sick taste in games!
Ninja gaiden, legend of the mystical ninja , shinobi 2 , ninja warriors, and turtles in time :P
Almost looks kinda like Shinobi 3. Looks like fun!
Runner looks like Michael C. Hall. Good run very entertaining.
FINISH IT! Well i guess super metroid too but you can kill them in fusion aswell.
This was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
V ninja gaiden, shinobi III, the adventures of the mysterious ninja, and ninja warriors :) (o and Turtles in time kinda counts)

300$-1500$+ WAT!?
Well Omni did say he didn't advise looking it up. :P
***** still a crazy price :(
MaboTsju Nope There's one guy trying to sell the manual alone for $350 :P
it was a blockbuster exlusive, therefor the price :P
@@Nlenjoyer1 it was not
I don't bother with consoles/games because they don't provide save states.
Can someone explain what does saving and killing animal means, thanx
In metroid fusion there are some alien lifeforms. Depnding on which gets more money runners will either kill them or let them live.
oh cool, thanx for the info
avak5 5 months late but it's Super Metroid, actually.
its not block buster exclusive total rumor
oh! it's the super cute gal with a tie in the audience again! :D
oh grow up.
Reed Richards Boo this man.
Why did he say start 5 seconds late??
awesome awesome game
Incoming eBay price spike
avak5 its super metroid, not fusion.
This game is pretty boss, it's a shame that it's so rare to obtain.
LAVA SKIPUUUUU

Who is the Black guy??
It's Alex

Isn't that infinitemystery? Speedruns Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 2.

Is it just me, or does the dood all the way to the left look like Justin Timberlake?
That was him. He was a huge Hagane fan
