Totally agree Even if you book a window seat on a duo seat I ended up sitting with a family, where i had worse legroom than on a ryanair plane. The sun hit my head and i got a headache. Overall a horrible experience. When you live in Switzerland the views were just meh, cause you already knew them

The way back seemed so much more peaceful than the way up the mountain. The views from the massive panoramic windows would be better if not everyone and their uncle was trying to film out of them, blocking the view for others. Much more of the scenery could be seen on the way back, and it could be enjoyed in peace and silence. I'll trade in my big windows for that any time. Gorgeous place though, would love to visit there one day.

I am looking forward to see and enjoy this video. Its really strange in a way: I am swiss, and live in Switzerland, and yet, I have never take the Bernina Express. And now, I see it for the first time online, from a traveller from Japan 🙂.
I am now at 15:00 and its indeed very beautiful (as your seat neighboor is saying very often ;-)). The Puschlav (poschiavo valley), is very special. Its also very far from major cities in Switzerland (far for swiss standards), which probably adds to the charm of it. Its strange that only the panoramic car is full, and the other carriages are empty. But I guess, this shows that the train is used by tourists, and not by swiss (I havent heard a single word of swiss german in 15 minutes of your great video).
It’s so funny that all these people could venture one car over and get flawless footage with no competition. The Very Serious Phone Cameras are also funny.

I realize how richly blessed I was to have travelled before the invention of iphones wit cameras, not ONE person was enjoying the view but obsessively taking videos, anyone can watch a documentary from home but to be there with the real thing and all you can do is take videos ? NOT Solo obviously, hats off to Solo who had to sit eyeball to eyeball with strangers while listening to a jabbering female
