Scientolojewslim yes but Carl’s death was needed because in the comics Rick still spares Negan but Carl’s alive still. Rick actually talks to Negan about how many ppl from each team and the Saviors have died and that they should work together and fight the dead and provide security for the living and Negan pretends to say ok to Rick then Negan breaks his legs hence the cane in Carl’s ideal future and Rick then slashes Negans throat. I’m glad they remixed it from the comic
@@pyr1412 Carl's death has been the most dumbass decision that the show has ever made, they could have face the problem that suposse Negan alive without killing the character that was suposse to take the role of his father after he died, now the show has no meaning without Rick and Carl, it's not the same anymore
Edd Moai tbh. I wasn’t even broken or shocked w/ Carl’s death just like now I wasn’t shocked w/ Henry and even Enid’s death . Carl was a cool character but he wasn’t my favorite character.
@@pyr1412 I don't care about Carl either. He wasn't a great character and the actor didn't do a good job. But killing Carl off didn't make sense. They wanted to explain why Rick would spare Negan because in the comic he kind of does it out of nowhere. But they created the exact same plothole only with Carl: at the beginning of season 8 he suddenly starts talking about sparing lives even though in the previous episode he goes John Wick on Saviors' asses and wants to kill them all. I think they killed Carl because they knew that Andrew Lincoln is leaving the show and they realized that Chandler can't step in those shoes. So they wrote him off to make room for Judith and to add extra drama to Rick's final episodes.
I want to make you feel safe, dad. I want you to feel just like I felt when you held my hand. Just to feel that way for five minutes, I'd give anything to make you feel that way now. I wanted to kill Negan
This would've made the perfect ending to the series. Not saying I necessarily wanted it to end, but if they decided to end it here, I believe it'd be the perfect ending to Rick's story.

THANK YOU to everyone for watching, liking, commenting and subscribing. Your continued support is what makes this channel. After a disappointing first half to the season, the second half really picked up (minus what I thought to be a completely unnecessary mid-season death). Bear continues to up the game with his music every episode. Expect the remaining 'Best of' compilations soon as well as some FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (well, a select few tracks, anyway). YOSHI percussion Maybe the show will rise up in season 9. With (sorry if I spoil you.) Rick's death, they'll surely find a way to bring it back like in season 3 or 7 (witch were the best seasons from my point of view), when the show was great.
Came back to listen to this as I read the final pages of The Walking Dead. At least in the comics, Carl did beat this world. Goodnight everybody and Farewell! THE END.
I don’t want to hear no “but it was in the comics so...” or “ but Carl wasn’t a good character anyways” this was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen, a man losing his son.
Even if somebody said those things it wouldn’t make any sense, I mean, Carl isn’t bad character, actually he is a great one, and one of the best, just look his development, evolution, acting, funny cute and emotional cenes etc, he is a great character. And also he didn’t died in the comics, rick did ( wich I didn’t liked btw) but at least in the comics we gotta to see Carl as the leader and as an adult with a family and stuff. Bring him back amc please, he and chandler deserved better, bring back so many other characters too
Chandler Riggs basically grew up on The Walking Dead. Such a great child actor. In my wildest dreams I never ever thought Carl would get bit and die. Those episodes portraying his passing were so sad. The music is so powerful in hitting your exact feelings. Bear McCreary is a genius in doing this. Thank you so much B. Claimed for providing us these great gems to remember .
God i can't help the tears in that scene where rick dedicates a letter to carl 😢🤧 to be honest this should have been the end of the series seeing rick remembering his son walking together 🥲🥹
this would have made a perfect end to the show. i grew up watching twd and honestly it’s made a huge impact on my life, especially chandler’s character, Carl. carl was ricks main reason to continue moving on, and without him honestly i don’t think the show should’ve continued.
Was waiting for this one since the episode aired, so calm and soothing, thank you! EDIT: Didn’t see the ending montage as I commented before video was half way through. Now that I’ve seen it, I love this so much more. Amazing work, B! See you around in The New World!
The Walking Dead lost its way after season 8, despite all its flaws, I still thoroughly enjoyed it because of Rick and Carl. Other fans may disagree, but to me, the crux of the show was watching a father and son manoeuvre through uncharted territory. Now that Carl, and subsequently Rick are gone, the show just feels empty; as much as I love other characters such as Daryl, Negan and Maggie, none of them can fill the void of what made the comics work so well, a father protecting and raising his son in the post apocalyptic world. Finally, I just want to add that had they kept Rick around, and had he protected Judith instead of Carl then maybe this show could have worked. But now it just feels like a fluid group of interchangeable survivors. I am holding out hope for a gratifying ending for the remaining characters, but the halcyon days of this show came to end once Rick left the show.
This is what I’ve always wanted. My favorite character ever since season 1 Carl. Carl Grimes was a great character and yeah I didn’t like it when he died but he still was a bad4ss RIP Coral S1 E1-S8 E9 u died as a hero. 🤧🤧🤧
I started watching this show with my big sis and bro but now she got married and traveled to America and my brother is gone . I wish going back to the days where I shouted at them if they spoiled it for me I wish going back where we all were together and having fun.
Think Maggie or Daryl will do it? After they went through so much. But they say the actor wants to spend time with his real family so he will die. Maybe Negan will get to him. Rick should have kept his promise to KILL Negan but he let Carl's letter stop him. After all that Negan had done, Negan should have become the Walking Dead.
Neal -The Matrix - Smith Ricks gonna probably be severely wounded by the whisperers and Siddiq will not be able to save him. I think that if someone mercy kills Rick it should be Carol or Daryl since they’ve known him since Atlanta. I would love for it to have been Morgan that put Rick out of his misery because he saved Rick in the pilot and it would have had more of a serious take on Morgan’s everything gets a return policy

With the benefit of hindsight, I’m sure season 8 would’ve been much better received if they announced from the start that it would be the final season. Turning the premise of the show on its head (Rick protecting his family - mainly Carl and Judith) by killing Carl off would’ve been regarded as a better twist; and then this heartfelt ending would’ve been even more poignant. They could’ve waited until after the finale to announce a new spin-off show, TWD: A New Beginning to start after a couple year hiatus (maybe that way Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan would’ve stayed past 9x05 - would’ve been awesome to have them for the Whisperers).
I know this is Bear's music but it has a familiar ring to it. Kinda like "El Condor Pasa" or something. I just can't pin it down. It is very emotional though like a dirge and it hits you square in the gut! Thank you Bear!
So I finally caught up, and fuck, man this destroyed my heart. The end of the Grimes boys, but it was nice to see Rick in his old uniform and Carl as a little boy one last time. :(
Honestly, this is where it ended for me when it comes to Rick. His story may not be finished technically speaking but I see this as the end of Rick Grimes. He left his legacy on Alexandria, he did what he set out to do, he payed for his mistakes, he lost so much, he gained so much, he left his mark. Which is why I will always see this as the ending of Rick's legacy. And the end of his arc. As well as being the ending that I believe in no matter what.
This was the most heartbreaking finale yet in the series, nothing could be more devastating than for a man to lose his son...

After all these years 😢 I still cry over this death 😢😢😢. Great performance from Danai, Andy and Chandler 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

OWWW THAT HURT
Dear Carl, I remember. I forgot who I was, you made me remember. I remember that feeling walking with you that day, like I finally knew who I was for the first time in my life. The thing is, we were walking side by side but you were bringing me somewhere. Bringing me here, bringing all of us to the new world, Carl. You showed me the new world. You made it real. I see it, I remember.

Such a beautiful song
Its insane how old this show is now ..the comic literally just ended after 16 years..
Poor Rick, he lost everything. He lost his son, his wife, but now there watching over him and his new family even Judith😢
Incredible song
rip carl man between rick , carl and dickson were my fav characters now rick is gon somewhere carl is gon , n dickson is all alone
Nice bro all tunes of walking dead makes me cry because of the feelings in my mind
So I finally caught up, and fuck, man this destroyed my heart. The end of the Grimes boys, but it was nice to see Rick in his old uniform and Carl as a little boy one last time. :(
Makes me miss my dad. Lost him too soon.
forever...
"You Showed Me The New World"
It's such a shame they are not in the show any more. We love you Rick and Carl, always!
That was the best
1:08-1:12 gives me chills 😭 can’t wait For Season 9
Lie down. Try not to cry. CRY A LOT.
I cry every time

This should be the ending song for the final episode, ever for TWD
THANK YOU!!!
I am not crying, you are...........
"I can't be who I was"
