I love that idea! I did something similar once with my elders, but that was before I knew about the door locking mod. So that ended up being a lot of micromanaging and unexpected visitors in each part of their private residential areas. With the door locking that would work so much better! edit: I meant the keys mod. 😊

I might try it sometime just for a change of pace, but generally I don’t think I’d have enough to say to fill a whole video and would end up just rambling! I really enjoy watching speed builds where I can just relax to the music and watch, so that’s what I prefer to make too ☺️
Questions: I understand the idea of locking the doors (allow access etc). But how does that work, as the options for locking the doors, are "allow me, allow household, allow all." How do you "allow" a couple of retirement Sims (2 people) to gain access to one specific townhome? When the option is "allow me" as in One Sim. Also, how do you pay the bills? Do you rotate which of the 3 households pays the bills, as in couple A - first bill payment; couple B - 2nd bill payment, etc. I like the concept, but just wonder how it works? Lovely build, thanks for sharing.
I would check out the mod on Simlogical for more info about it, I only use it on this lot so I’m not an expert in it! But basically it allows you to give people “keys” for doors. I’m not super strict for finances in my game, my only real rules are money has to come from somewhere (loans that must be repaid eventually, or gifts from another Sim) so on this lot everyone’s finances are just pooled!
There's something absolutely perfect about the way this place is decorated for older people.

Glad it was helpful! It works pretty well although it seemed a cat on the lot could get through locked doors which was kind of cute honestly.
