Very nicely put. I have a small automobile channel and it took me 3 years to get my first brand deal. Got my share of no responses to my emails, but one must endure.
To my fellow creatives: I had a brand reach out when I only had 195 subs on RUclips. Granted it was unpaid and just product exchange, but it was a start. Dont let anybody tell you you gotta be poppin first, just make it do what it do!
Exactly... I just commented this!! I turned down a BD because they wanted me to do something i felt like was morally compromising to my channel!! But, even before that, so... I made a video recently and I swear YC watched that video because I just uploaded it 🤣🤣 (I'm positive he ain't seen it, just a coincidence)
I love your videos (overall), your style, and the way you produce them. You inspire me every single time! I’m also seriously impressed by how you manage to make everything you do look so effortless and cool (even though it’s all quite complex), while at the same time making it appear ultra-professional and cinematic! Simply awesome. Thanks for that, and best regards from Germany!! Keep up ya great work! 🙂
I've turned down two deals because the brands didn't align with my channel and viewers. Mine is an outdoor adventure channel, so I feel that the product should be somehow related. Most recently it was a studio microphone company. It just didn't feel right to sign onto a deal where the company would get no real exposure from my viewers. I thanked the company for the offer and declined.
Content creators income has shrank over the past 2 years... My wife works for a bank and they literally come in crying.. Brands are giving stuff but not paying as much anymore.. That's the reason for they backlash on some brands from creators
Thanks for the info! I been doing this for a while now bit just recently started to want a brand deal. I figured I wasn't big enough. Lately, I've been getting those "free for product" offers but ignored them. Should I start there?
Targeting is its own video. There are many of us who's been in the media creation for years if not decades, targeting for your own particular business is very very very very very very very very tough. And it's not a formula just do this do that and then here is the result.. even though the approach is kind of formulaic. Lot of common sense in this video that is not really common because a lot of people are just out of pocket doing stuff that they heard was cool but they don't know how to do. But it's also for the veterans like myself who are trying to move left or right and there's a whole different set of rules. Good video
Got my first "brand deal" at ~300 subs. It was not like great deal, but I got a product license (worth ~$400) just for reviewing the product and I actually wanted that product (but was a bit too expensive for my 2nd world country walled :D). I was kinda surprised. Then got my next "brand deal" at ~500 subs. Again just got the product for the reviews and the products they've sent are very useful - I use it daily and my reviews were based on my daily experience with the products. I even didn't followed the brand agenda, I just genuinely used the product and compiled the "review". Again they haven't paid me with $$$, so maybe you do not consider this as brand deal, but got like $1000 worth of products ... I'm still surprised ... and YT is just my hobby ... I still work 9-5.
Dude... is there even a .1% chance that you watched my last video 🤔🤣!! I literally just uploaded a video about how I turned down my 1st Brand Deal 😳... That's crazy lol!! Thank you for putting this information out there 💯🫡

Awesome content and guidance!

Nice video, Bro it inspires me to make videos 👍🏾
And don't be afraid of the fee product exchanges upfront. They still count as a collaboration and "clout" of "I worked with xyz brand".
Appreciate this video!
This video pretty much answer my question from a previous video. Thx🔥
Question: Did you feel an unreasonable amount of anxiety placing your camera on the ground like that (1:36) lol
1:04 Say bruv, what ipad holder is this?
Free game 🔥
Is that a Jamaican flag I see?? Love your perspective on this topic 🔥

I simply dont want to be sponsored so I can say whatever I want. I also piss the industry off. That is my reason.
