He got suspicious why a foreigner is walking all alone with a camera in dark streets making video. But I Humbly Apologize for Your Worst Experience. Pakistan has gone a lot of bad times in the past and we cannot take things lightly anymore so we are taking all neccessary precautions. Also wherever you may be in Pakistan, always approach any local for help or communication. I assure you all locals will be more than happy to help anyone whenever needed.

Well they were undercover agency people they are always strict even with locals they don't allowed capturing video of that busy road because sometimes insurgents use videos on special occasions(when there is crowed) to find out where the security is so that they can make there way into the crowed and do some kinda bad activity, doesn't matter if you are a local or a foreigner you abide by the rules specially on occasions when you know there will be a crowed. Secondly when you will keep greeting every other kid they will follow you because you are a mysterious creature to them and they never saw someone like you before. In this place there is alots of christian in Lahore . It's not like that bro . Asking about religion may be they would want to know that you are actually a foreigner or not because in crowded place at festival it's sometime the circumstances of place get change due to the some people ( stranger) i mean indian border is too near to Lahore so in festival they take advantage of this crowd and something get happened that's way sometimes in casual dress there is police and guards for security purposes. I was visiting Peshawar from Canada and I was flying my drone near a Mausoleum, a cop saw me and brought a big group of cops and asking me questions which is okay but when I ask them how can I know where to shoot a video or fly a drone and where not? They had no clue. I was like I know I cannot fly drone near the airports and the Army places but there is nothing online where it shows the restricted areas. In short that was an A*****e cop who didn't like my face maybe lol but who cares

Majority of these people have never experienced to live with people of different ethnicity and races so they stare and follow every foreigner like crazy. The place you are visiting even I cannot imagine to go at night and I'm a Pakistani myself. The children raised in that certain area are mostly spoiled and ill-mannered. You should take someone with you if you want to be safe there at night. The best idea is to visit these narrow roads and old areas during day time. Despite that, I would say good and bad people and good and bad places exist everywhere in the world. You should be thankful that nobody injured you or took your possessions which can also happen at night time.

It's not a soft society especially for the ones that live there, the children experience one of the most aggressive childhoods in the world. But over there they call it discipline, survival of the fittest, not "abuse, harassment, bullying." Mental health care simply does not exist there in a much needed society after generations of famine, pollution, war, chemical gassing, blowing people who didn't agree with the Brits with cannons, separation, leaving your homeland, changing of laws, forced conversions, and invasions. Now flooding.. disease outbreak, and malnourishment. I pray for these people. Sorry you experienced a bad 'apple' tho. It is a place of deep pain but deep happiness. The reactions are volatile, the society is crackling, but that is the same for the ones living there too. You're not getting treated any different. Majority of these people have never experienced to live with people of different ethnicity and races so they stare and follow every foreigner like crazy. The place you are visiting even I cannot imagine to go at night and I'm a Pakistani myself. The children raised in that certain area are mostly spoiled and ill-mannered. You should take someone with you if you want to be safe there at night. The best idea is to visit these narrow roads and old areas during day time. Despite that, I would say good and bad people and good and bad places exist everywhere in the world. You should be thankful that nobody injured you or took your possessions which can also happen at night time.
Elite force is Police too and on the occasions the security is always tight but sorry from a Pakistani if you felt uncomfortable but I hope you understand his side of situation too but again he should’ve been respectful not aggressive

Riling up the crowds like this is not a good idea... thats all i will say... please dont be naive and walk the streets at night, in the middle of a large gathering. We've had social media types getting in trouble when they gathered a lot of people, they started getting over excited. People should not be grabbing you or touching you, but thats what happens when you get them excited. This is why you need a local to be with you. As a Lahori, i would never go to this part of town, its shady at night. Theres so many nicer parts of Lahore, I dont know why you had to go to the worst areas...
This is the 1st time I have seen you look uncomfortable and annoyed. It all started from the guy grabbing your arm and then others just following you. On this occasion you actually needed a local chaperone for your safety. A few of those harassers were probably stoned (Lol!). Those side streets/lanes you took off the Badhshai Mosque are known to be sketchy. I bet you were close to or on the edge of the well known red light area Heera mandi. I did see 1 or 2 cross dressers sitting down on the side. You need to stop saying Sallam Bhai etc to random ppl. I know it's how you interact. Lastly, please don't get offended by this analogy, but to these random street ppl in this particular part of LHE and at night time you are like a performing street monkey to them (mainly because you are white Caucasian talking to a camera).

I'm sorry you experienced someone asking something so extreme, and something that truly doesn't matter about you when you visit a foreign country. There are some fake Muslims out there that spread hate/dislike towards Christianity, when we have coexisted with them for centuries, but also had war of course, and our very Quran says that Christian, Jews, and the Abrahamic believers go to heaven as well. It is said very clearly. This guy is truly a bad apple and must have had bad experiences. And to be fair, Pakistan is a young country that broke out of British Colonialism just less than a hundred years ago. There are still generations alive that remember everything when cities/empires were under British Control. And also, just in LAHORE, the CIA shot two Pakistani people dead 10 years ago. One was killed by American drivers. Yes he may have been a criminal, and yes this is unfair, but this isn't exactly what people forget. Half the time they don't realize how much displacement the Pakistani have paid, through Afghani refugees, trafficked opium, to fighting extremists on their own. This doesn't make it okay for his hostile behavior, but while you're there, you might as well know all the political reasons they could be overly aggressive towards you. If you know your shit and say you don't personally have anything/prejudice/motive against Muslims, that is all they want to be assured of most of the time. If it's more extreme, get out like you just did.
Pakistani people regardless have the patience of a turtle and despite everything and all the injustice that's been done to them, live all over the world in diaspora; I know some who married Koreans, Brits, Hispanics, Arabs, and many other nationalities. If you looked up the White Mughals, Lahore used to be a place where British people integrated themselves into Hindustani society. They lived and changed their beliefs to Islam as well. Lahore used to be a place of peace & poetry of great Islamic scholars who Hindu's accepted, but also a capital for about more than five major empires. A place of the Mughals, Sikhs, it just has rich history that is still freshly alive and visible today. Mughals were very tribal and mostly Indo-Turk-Persians, hailing from families of warriors/soldiers who had to fight to protect their land from constant invaders from the East, North, and West but also focused on conquest. It's not a soft society especially for the ones that live there, the children experience one of the most aggressive childhoods in the world. But over there they call it discipline, survival of the fittest, not "abuse, harassment, bullying." Mental health care simply does not exist there in a much needed society after generations of famine, pollution, war, chemical gassing, blowing people who didn't agree with the Brits with cannons, separation, leaving your homeland, changing of laws, forced conversions, and invasions. Now flooding.. disease outbreak, and malnourishment. I pray for these people. Sorry you experienced a bad 'apple' tho. It is a place of deep pain but deep happiness. The reactions are volatile, the society is crackling, but that is the same for the ones living there too. You're not getting treated any different. It's a brutal society to this day but they're still generous to visitors. It's always been a place that will allure all types of life because it's been renamed countless times.
