That’s was my previews bike I did 11k miles in 2 years I just really loved the sound of that bike unfortunely I couldn’t afford to keep it and buy the bike I wanted to upgrade . With experience I can confirm the Suoerduke R is the best upgrade to the MT09 but if you can keep it do it
Which one do you prefer? I'm down sizing from a '16 R1 to something more comfortable. I'd say half the power of that bike would be fine. Some people say the MT09 is too torquey. Some say the MT07 doesn't have enough power. I'm an experienced rider and don't care about going over 130 anymore. I just want some more comfort and something fun to wrap out and that can still handle decent.
I'd say the 07 is a fun bike for most things it's a good well rounded bike, the 09 is nice but you can't open it up or have as much fun riding as the 07. Like city wise I'd go for 07, for motorways and long roads 09 that's the main place you can really get something out of the 09.

Or just gonna get a dirt bike either enduro or motocross till can get a2 license, bet the 09 felt wicked , one of my dream bikes since watching the kila cam rip one of his buddies !

If you look at it this way, mt07 is 2 cylinders, mt10 is 4. On the 10 if you split the engine in half it will be 2 cylinder just like the 07. The 09 is 3 cylinders... The odd number makes the difference in sound which has a whine to it.

The 900 will hit triple digits speeds so fast thats not enjoyable unless you have open hwy ahead and in the city is down right dangerous.thats why i got the MT07 instead,fun and controllable and did not scare the beeswax out of me.
Ngl i really don't like the sound of 3 cylinder engine, i was looking at MT07 which has better sound, this MT09 should have had either a 2 cylinder or a 4 cylinder. Because atleast with 4 cylinder it will sound like a proper sport bike.

I upgraded from a 2016 MT-07 to a 2023 Mt-09 SP in October and difference is insane.

I never liked the 09 personally. Throttle was way too snappy and it wasn't very fast once you passed 60mph.

how come you blip the throttle on the upshift if you have a quickshifter installed? p.s not criticising just curious on what exactly it does
The OEM quickshifter is kinda jerky without having a tune or ECU flashed so it makes the shifts smoother
