It's good that the insurgency issue has been tackled. The involvement of Urban Naxals in the region had confused all region participants and caused a blunder of anarchy.
Assam should be for the indigenous. By no means do I mean to deny other people fundamental rights and other laws in the Constitution. However, the state should be a representative of the native people and their culture with a strong, accurate and factual history.
The state should not be a dump for foreigners' salvation and a refugee camp for the Burmese or the Bangladeshis. The people should not be used for a communal battle between Hindus and Muslims.
Migrants from all periods should be deemed as foreigners and the perspective of the state should be from the aboriginal indigenous people. Perspectives of Ahoms, Burmese, Bengalis, Brahmins and Bangladeshis should be regarded with the same sentiment that we give to the British and Mughals who were foreigners to South Asia. They were colonizers of the native people.

What are the terms of the accord, signed.
There is nothing new, the same old issue has been presented again with new colours. And to what extent it will be accomplished will also remain in doubt. After the revolutionary deal like Assam Accord, no such deal has been accomplished till date. And it is sad that all its claims have not been fulfilled till now, so nothing can be said about it, only the government has included it in its fame. And Paresh Baruah has also not approved this deal yet, ULFA is still divided, so until he sits at the table, this deal is also half incomplete.

Central government neglecting NE is nothing new. However this govt is doing some infrastructural development and that's their duty to do so if they want NE to be integral part of India. But the real issues and demands of NE is still not solved. Specially in Assam, Assamese people are being deceived by govt. since forever. Assam Accord became just a piece of paper. This new treaty is also the same there is nothing to be called it historic.
