    Did you have a tube tester? It's really convienient,to check, if sometimes the tubes causing Problems,instead of old capacitors. The magic eye is a em80,i think,it's supposed to be a lot brighter,than it actually is,easiest wouldt be a replacement tube,but magic eyes are sometimes really expensive.nice Video anyways.

      Thank you! Yes I do actually have a tube tester. The thing is I didn't need it to know whether that eye was bad or not because that was obvious. Personally, I would have replaced it. But here, this is not my set and I left it up to the owner. He didn't care so I left the existing eye as is.
      I own a Precision series 10-12 which was in another video, as well as two other testers.

      @@indebtperhapsiam8893 i restored a customers nordmende Konsole radio with a record Player, many years ago, i asked him if i should replace the em84 magic eye tube an he agreed.he Was surprised,how bright a New one was compared to the old one.anyway,good Job on this telefunken.greetings from germany.
