A character in a story I'm writing has a tattoo with a pretty sweet story behind it. He's a former drug addict and when he got clean he got a tattoo of his daughter's name and birthdate over his track marks as a reminder that she needs him more than he needs the drugs.
I have a scar on my arm where I was grabbed and the scratches ended up leaving scars. Would really like to cover it with a tattoo. A raven would be perfect.

I've been similarly hesitant for years, but a lot of it is getting the right tools (some hair devices, brushes, etc can make things a million times easier), watching plenty of tutorials, and if you have issues with your hands? Using the other to brace the one you're using. I've even seen an eye makeup tutorial, for a cat-eye look where the girl used tape to make sure the lines would turn out straight.
It would be great to hear more about your parents, especially in relation to being goth and about your travels. It's great to hear how your mum reacted to your tattoos, that was so sweet!
I'm getting my chest piece done next month and I'm so fucking nervous; I've heard chest is one of the most unpleasant places. What was the pain like for you? Also, those lashes are absolutely magnificent.
depends on what part. in the middle when they tattoo upwards it can feel like it's bang on your throat lol my bats on my shoulders were pretty painful Best of luck! make sure you eat before hand =)

Before I turned 18, I spent years thinking about what I would want to get.. I didn't even end up getting my first till I was 20, and it didn't even have a meaning, I just found it pretty and went for it a few weeks later. And I love it, but it was nothing like any I ever planned haha

My first one was a memorial tattoo for my dad who died suddenly in 2012, on my upper arm and is a super cute octopus. I also have the Riddler question mark on my left wrist and a harlequin themed batman logo on my right wrist. Planned is Alice in wonderland set with Mcgees alice on one thigh and Carrolls on the other. Also want The Bride of Frankenstein on my right upper arm. I really liked the bats. :)

My first tat was on my left ankle of a black cat looking up at the moon, my second tat was for my aunt and grandma who passed from breast cancer so I did a colorful butterfly with pink ribbon on my right ankle. I want to get another tat soon on my shoulder blade but still undecided exactly what yet. Great tattoos all of you did.

I was on a trip with my boyfriend up to visit my Oma and Opa in NY when I got my first tattoo. We were in Woodstock, saw a tattoo studio and just sort of decided to say fuck it and go with it. We set up an appointment for the next day or maybe the day after or something and decided on getting matching tattoos of 'Not all those who wander are lost' in Elvish. I've also got a tattoo of Veldismagn, an Icelandic protective stave on my chest, since it's supposed to be written in blood on your chest, I figured it would fit in a slightly untraditional way. It makes me feel like a badass shieldmaiden.
You're such an inspiration. I love these videos you do. You really give me an urge to go out and travel and attend things like Tattoo conventions. I've actually booked a week away in Prague next year because you seemed to have such a good time there and it looks beautiful. Thank you!

It was a memorial tattoo for my mother; very important to me and then my second tattoo was a fun one for myself on the back of my neck :)
Tattoos are addictive, once you get one you always want more. The pain really isn't that bad and the outcome definitely outweighs it. Like she said to Matthias you just have to "grow a pair of ovaries and woman through it"

Now it covers half of my right calf and is full of bats, a cave, etc. I think your first two bats are a perfect start .... you can add to it and have a whole chest piece!! :)

I have been contemplating a chest piece for years but I can never come up with something I love enough to get done. The dainty bats look very cute and you can still wear lovely necklaces, very nice placement. I didn't find my hand /finger tattoos all that painful until they were healing and they swelled up a bit.
