    Mental tricks are super useful thanks for the tip sensei. It's like doing a pushup, instead of going down you think about pushing the earth or when you do a pull up you bring the bar towards your chest instead of pulling up your body to the bar. Edit * going to the beach right now time to try

    I have such a difficult time with doubles, but this concept of ‘hang time’ is so helpful! I am going to get back out there and practice DUs with this in mind. Thanks, Rushie!

    Good tutorial, newly subscribed doing rope for 6 weeks but can’t seem to do a lot of 30 sec jumps. How do you get the stamina to keep going? Seems like hard work and very frustrating 😒

    • @smartnothard2400
      @smartnothard2400 Год назад +1

      Keep practising bro. Days off can help too! I’ve only just gone from 30-40 seconds to 50-60 seconds…. Started at 10-20 seconds at most and been going around about the same time as you!
      Slowly but surely and don’t over do it to avoid injury / shin splints etc….
      Get a beaded rope and money rope from RA, the performance versions. You won’t need any other ropes for a while. Even if you have cross ropes etc and or other weighted, put them to one side and get a those two I mentioned from RA!
      Use the beaded to go slow and get your timing on point to understand where the rope is, jump timing, jump height (1-2inches at most unless doubles or tricks), learn your tricks, boxer steps etc and use the money rope to get your speed work in.
      You’ll easily get past your current max time just by going at a steady pace. Don’t worry about the skip counts if time is your goal. My first timed 1000 skips at random intervals took 20 minutes. Then I saw peeps doing 1-120 per minute while working out and speed jumpers hitting 2-300 a minute or whatever it was 😂. I can now do 1000 on 14 minutes. If you enjoy skipping don’t give up and don’t loose hope!
      Fun fact: Most smart watches / fitness trackers can track skipping too! Tells you your stats like skip count, skipping time, calories, average frequency so helps to track progress too!

      I probably should have added, depending on your fitness levels and current lifestyle / day job industry etc, try not to go more than 20-30 minutes sessions. Complete beginners should do no more than 5-10 minutes 2-3 times per week but six weeks in should you be ok for more than that.

      @@smartnothard2400 thanks for the information 💪 I’m only doing 3 workouts a week, with resistance bands too, I work driving a lorry but doing pallet work so pretty active at work which is good. It’s definitely hard work for sure lol I’ve got the lean set off crossrope atm, have looked at rush ropes but what kind of one would be an advantage for a beginner?

      @@smartnothard2400 just seen the rope recommendation 🤦‍♂️ so excuse the last comment asking which ones to grab haha 😆

      It can be tough at first but just increase the time by 5-10 seconds each day. Make sure your breathing is smooth and focus on the timing of the jumps 😀
