  • In this video, I demonstrate how to replace the knuckle of my Vio-75 Yanmar Excavator in the field. In this video I use OEM Yanmar parts, as well as some standard and unconventional repair practices.

    Great job. I think the footage and voiceover work really well. Looks like you planned the repair well. I hope I can get some land and some more space for the family at some point in the future.

      Thanks for the kind words! This started as a dream for us many years ago when we lived in the city. It takes a lot of baby steps but it's worth it. Never quit pursuing the dream!

      Thanks Mark! We are very excited about this addition to our farm. We will be clearing several acres of new pasture in the next year.

    Nice work! I have a question about the details of the excavator you got here. How many hours are on it and it you wouldn’t mind how much did you pick it up for??

      Hey Zach, this machine is approx. 17,600 lbs, approx. 60 h.p. (Yanmar 4tnv98 engine), hydraulic thumb, cab and air, power quick coupler, and has roughly 9,000 hours on the meter, approximately 1000 hours on the engine.
