i kinda see Rian Jonson as Snoke and Abrams as Palpatine, respectably. Jonson seemed like the villian but ended up not being and JJ was still seen in a favorable light even after shooting the trilogy in the foot from the get-go and HE ended up being the real problem
What I really don’t get is, if they were going to reveal that Snoke was a clone anyway, why not just bring him back? Why bring Palpatine into it at all? Sure, it would’ve been a retcon, but at least it would’ve connected with the other 2 movies. It would’ve been better than Palpatine coming back out of nowhere.
Precisely, couldn't the plot be simply about stopping Snoke from returning? Like maybe his backstory is that he's some kind of powerful space vampire thing that required the team up of Jedi and Sith to stop, he was stuck in something similar to the Starforge from The Old Republic, Vader knew something about him thus "I'll finish what you started" meant that Ben wanted to follow Vader's secret plan of unleashing Snoke or something and he did? It would've been cheesy and lame that Rey and Kylo have to team up to stop him, but at least the plot would've been much simpler and at least we would've gotten answers about Snoke that are somewhat satisfying. And I would've only ignored the Holdo maneuver, but the stuff established in The Last Jedi I'd follow through the best way I can, I'd do that just because I'm fucking sick of these movies retconning one and other.
Alexander Vincent LoScialpo (born April 29, 1981) is an American actor. He is known for his role as Andy Barclay in the Child's Play franchise, having played the character in Child's Play (1988), Child's Play 2 (1990), Curse of Chucky (2013) and Cult of Chucky (2017).
I was genuinely looking forward to Finn as a character. I mean we've seen the "bad boy pilot who plays by his own rules but has a good soul" and the "strong force user who's supposed to bring balance to the force" but we've NOT seen a stormtrooper who turns sides and leaves the "bad guys" and fights for the "good guys". Not in the original or prequel trilogies. I personally thought that was such an interesting new thing to explore but nah... screw that guy. IMO, he should've died in The Last Jedi. Should've sacrificed himself for the resistance. Should've been a truly heroic death.
it would have been a much better ending for the character than TROS was, but frankly I think it’s _good_ TLJ rejected the “sacrifice Finn to the often futile operations of a death cult” idea… as if they didn’t already treat his life as worthless enough
4:15 for anything, I would see a PintaCut in every bad movies including the ones that are coming out in 2020, it will be the same shit and the pints comes out to distract for interest things or just bet something to win anything. That's cool, thanks for that Adam.
Rian Johnson also directed some of the best episodes of Breaking Bad, like Ozymandias, and the Brother's Bloom was good too. also, the actor Noah Seagon appears in all of his movies, even as the briefest of cameos as a rebel pilot on a truck in a ship bay - dont ask me how i noticed that the first time watching when i wasnt even trying to find him.
One of the biggest criticisms that was addressed in the Disney live action movies, since it's been addressed in all of them, is the coded-gay villains. Shere Kahn, Scar, and Jafar are all far more masculine and non-swishy.

I've been learning a lot about Space Jam for the past week. I learned that one of the guys from Double Toasted took his name off director for Space Jam because he wasn't happy with the studio meddling and cutting of the movie. Apparently there exists a 5 hour cut that actually screened very well.
Here's a terrible Idea: since Ralph mentioned how Lando's line to his "daughter" sounded kinda suggestive, what if they did an OldBoy style movie with Lando and ex-stormtrooper chick? I'm sure Disney would make sure it comes out great. :D
Underrated?? I've never met someone who hasn't known and loved Space Jam. It's an objectively bad movie in many ways, yet no one seems to see any flaws whatsoever. It's severely overrated.

Oh as you know about putting deceased actor in movies was Paul Walker in Furious 7. He have other few scenes that hes literally there for the most part and half were replace by Paul Walker's brother so hes being portrayed after his death that literally makes Paul Walker's last moment and having him the end of the movie was literally a digitized Paul Walker in this movie.
big studio films are always about 5 years behind in culture, due to planning, writing etc. so it usually takes a few years for shit that dont work to stop being made.
I know the fanbase memed it to death, but I recently watched TFA and TLJ back to back and I don’t really see what things Rian Johnson “threw in the trash”. He picked up Rey’s lineage and made it into the most emotional part of the movie and he also picked up Snoke and turned him into the climax of the movie. You can criticize the humor, Canto Bight, Rose or whatever you didn’t like; but the characters arcs in TLJ made thematical sense when compared to TFA. With the only exception being maybe Finn. Rian Johnson had more respect for these characters that JJ Abrams created than JJ Abrams himself did in RoS.
I would also defend Finn's role. The way I see it is that he went from a character who cared about his friends to a character that cares about a cause.
1:05:43 it's a cult movie, I mean for most people grew up watching it, it will be a guilty pleasure Space Jam movie. I've seen it many times and growing up watching it, it's still a nostalgia come back movie if it doesnt have any qualities of good or any art of masterpiece.

People often forget that the first order started off as a smaller power within the universe, then tlj immediately made it the empire again. Also, here's apparently how it went. TFA: Disney gives some control, but stays a power to keep it safe. TLJ: Disney feels more safe, gives an unprecedented amount of freedom. TROS: Disney freaks out about the fanbase being divided, so gives nearly no wiggle room for JJ
JJ didn't make it the empire again by giving them a death star 800 times the size of the original? What an underfunded struggling group that first order is.
@@Rizzcracker well, for a start that's a planet been modified, so may well have been cheaper than a death star, as well as the fact is used stars and not reactors, again, might be cheaper. Also, ye they're a smaller faction, they control part of the more unknown regions. Most of the universe is controlled by the republic. Obviously they have some stuff left over from the empire. Then suddenly, despite having been a smaller faction and having suffered a massive defeat, at the start of TLJ they suddenly are in charge of everything.

@@TheOriginalPoon I really don't like tlj, I do quite like TFA, tros is... Fine. I enjoy about half of TPM and ATC, and weirdly enjoy large chunks of revenge of the sith.
Rise of Skywalker is possibly the most hilarious example of completely refusing to "yes, and" ever.
I think it's even kind of disrespectful to have a plot about "the dead speak" and literally make a dead actor speak...
“Who are you?”
“You know who I am...I’m Sam REYmi’s Spider-Man!”
i kinda see Rian Jonson as Snoke and Abrams as Palpatine, respectably. Jonson seemed like the villian but ended up not being and JJ was still seen in a favorable light even after shooting the trilogy in the foot from the get-go and HE ended up being the real problem
Jar Jar should've been Palatine in Rise of Skywalker
Rey Jar Jar
Episode XII:
"I created Palpatine." - Dark Lord Jar Jar Binks standing in front of tubes filled with failed Palpatine clones.
Cool Cat should have been Palpatine
Yes! I've wanted you to see come and see since the first Sardonicast. I can't wait!
I thought it was kinda stupid when Wile E Coyote blew up the main character.
At least I don't have to watch *another* Star Wars movie.
You guys scared me, made me think it was monday
Same I thought I missed work
I'm offended
Man that Michael Jordan guy, he really chews up the scenery. Wow weeh, I mean.... Phew literal chills watching this man onscreen. Chills!
4:15 for anything, I would see a PintaCut in every bad movies including the ones that are coming out in 2020, it will be the same shit and the pints comes out to distract for interest things or just bet something to win anything. That's cool, thanks for that Adam.
OOOH COME AND SEE IS GOOOOD can’t wait! Also, one of the best titles ever in my opinion. Just mentioned that movie today in fact!
Rian Johnson directed Fly, one of the best Breaking Bad episodes.
And Granite State and Ozymandiaz
@@daniels.rogers480 Key word there being "Directed". Ryan Johnson didn't write those episodes
@@devyboo2 agreed
@@devyboo2 He did write Looper and Knives Out.
@@jasonfenton8250 haven't seen knives out, but looper is a complete mess
Please do an episode on "Uncut Gems"
One of the biggest criticisms that was addressed in the Disney live action movies, since it's been addressed in all of them, is the coded-gay villains. Shere Kahn, Scar, and Jafar are all far more masculine and non-swishy.
Wait did Alex say "Aquaman garbage"? Did he mean "Aquaman Epic"?
5:12 it does because George Lucas slammed the new trilogy, he didnt like the Rise of Skywalker for bringing Palpatine back on the movie, such a shame.
Came for Space Jam, stayed for Adum explaining why furries exist
Ah man...we’re talking Space Jam and we don’t have Korey from doubletoasted (formerly SPILL baby!) to y’all about t since he helped animate portions of it. Plus Ralph said he used to listen to Korey in his spill days, his opinion on movies is worthy of talking about. I hope they bring him in for an episode one day
Space Jam, Korey Coleman's masterpiece?
Best directorial debut of all time.
The saga continues...
didn't all he do on the film was touch and go touch up shadow and some line art work lol..
*COME ON YA SARDS*
*AND WATCH SARDONICAST*
*COME ON, LISTEN*
*AND GIVE IT 6/10*
fun fact, one of my university lecturers worked on space jam
pls elaborate. what did he do
@@lulucool45 i think he worked on some of the posters? I'll ask him again tomorrow
@@lulucool45 turns out he was actually an animator, he worked on a bunch of scenes but he remembers the stealing of Michael Jordan's shoes, entering toon world and the first half of the game. His names Niel Bushnell
Who else would love to see Schaffrillas productions as a guest when they talk about Cats?
Space jam is a movie that I loved as a kid, re-thinking about it as an adult made me cringe watching it again, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be, though it is bad.
I've been learning a lot about Space Jam for the past week. I learned that one of the guys from Double Toasted took his name off director for Space Jam because he wasn't happy with the studio meddling and cutting of the movie. Apparently there exists a 5 hour cut that actually screened very well.
You can watch Come and See on RUclips with proper English subtitles and also a website called sovietmovies which is a bit better.
We say no to pay to win thx. Really looking forward to see this one.
Make up your mind Ralph:
4:35
17:27
What does he say?
Here's a terrible Idea: since Ralph mentioned how Lando's line to his "daughter" sounded kinda suggestive, what if they did an OldBoy style movie with Lando and ex-stormtrooper chick? I'm sure Disney would make sure it comes out great. :D
Great nostalgia intro. JAM ...AND IM WATCHING SARDONIC-JAM!!!
Space jam is an underrated cult classic
It has a little something for everyone
Maybe if you live at Jonestown.
Underrated?? I've never met someone who hasn't known and loved Space Jam. It's an objectively bad movie in many ways, yet no one seems to see any flaws whatsoever. It's severely overrated.
Zephyrus Auron well of course not it’s looney tunes. We don’t ask for anything else other then to be funny.
@@jknetwork6211 I grew up on Looney toons, this is very different than Looney toons comedy wise. So just in that one aspect, how Looney toons it is, I think they failed because it didn't capture the heart of any of the cartoons. Other than the horrible and sexual jokes and the overall story progression, that's mostly just an opinion, though.
16:34 I agree, the entire sequences including the rise of the empire up the dark smoking lightning skies and the entire battle sequences with too much flashes and way too dark in every scenes is ridiculous horrible and it's so dense that I cant ever seen in the screen like this. You're turning a Michael Bay lots of shit and putting into a pointless action romp.
you guys should really talk about the Safdie brother's Good Time!
Idk if Alex has seen it but Ralph gave it a 10 and Adum gave it a 9
It's nice of you guys to have on Alex from The Official Podcast
Like ralph said ... ive enjoyed every cast and learned alot and discovered so many great films
i would've rather heard you guys discuss the mandalorian
Lola Bunny is in Space Jam because warner didn't want Bugs to have a case of the gays
I really wanna see you guys talk about Brick in depth. Also idk if any of you have see La Haine but you should see it for the podcast if you haven’t
Fucking love La Haine. Such a perfectly condensed little story . Visually impeccable . Great soundtrack and overall style
RIP lighthouse and uncut gems snubbed af
My Jam is this podcast 😉
I just found this podcast and i plan on catching up. Love all of you guys and i see u have stuckman on an episode also. Ive been watching you 4 for quite some time. its nice to see all my favorite reviewers all together. Plz keep this kind of content going as long as you can 🙂
It's called rise of Skywalker because Ben Solo, son of Leia Skywalker rises out of a hole near the end then dies
Hey Adam ever seen Road Rovers? I think you'll like it as a furry.
big studio films are always about 5 years behind in culture, due to planning, writing etc. so it usually takes a few years for shit that dont work to stop being made.
I AM ALL THE SITH! I no joke laughed out loud in the theater when he said that. So bad.
I literally watched Knives Out last night and was searching for an in-depth discussion
I actually got to see one of the sets for Space Jam 2 at Warner Bros.
1:05:43 it's a cult movie, I mean for most people grew up watching it, it will be a guilty pleasure Space Jam movie. I've seen it many times and growing up watching it, it's still a nostalgia come back movie if it doesnt have any qualities of good or any art of masterpiece.

theyre finally going to experience the ostkrieg and the dirlewanger
Remember when they gave Luke a green lightsabre in ep 6 to contrast the blue skies and here they were like fuck it make everyone's light sabre blue , make the backgrounds blue who gives a shit no ones trying
IHE: Alejandro González Iñarritu and Alejandro Jodorovsky... in spanish Alex is short for Alejandro. (I know they are not actors per se, but it works)
Jodorowsky is good in his stuff for what it is
1:20:00 ~ Just surprised Sopranos Mother was not mentioned in there. It looked/felt terrible but it was meant in a good way. In theory, it worked - in practice, it did not work.
7:23 literally everybody knows that shit. Oh Rey is the half of Palpatine and I didnt feel much of a reveal and it's a waste. We get it, but does Kylo already explained to her from the sequels? I'm tiring of revealing who she is and I thought she was bet by these drunk parents?
How bizarre I just randomly decided to watch Space Jam last night and I wake up to this :)
It’s not a coincidence :)
I’m guessing it was a mistake to make it available to us non patrons a day early. Regardless this is a nice surprise.
Come and See is on RUclips it's one of the best films ever made
For free to watch?.... I cant find it.
Personally, I think that recreating an actor in CGI is disrespectful to them and their legacy.
KingOfGames yep it’s like they can’t die peacefully and their soul is now getting milked until they become fully irrelevant and no one cares about them anymore
It really is. There's just something so disgusting about reanimating the dead like that. It'll probably become a giant cultural taboo in the future.
