If I saw a fan movie this epic in 1984 it would have melted my brain, and I would need to see a therapist.

As a child, I never missed an episode of Filmation's animated series, "HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE". In addition, I collected almost all the action figures. In my opinion, what made this short film awesome and epic was not only the 3D animation, but also the participation of Mr. John Erwin and Allan Openheimer with their voices. They belonged to the original staff of actors who delighted us with their talent in that legendary 1983 TV Show. God bless you and keep up the good work! :-D

@@hethfilms Are you telling me that Mr. Erwin and Mr. Openheimer weren't never involved in the making? That breaks my heart, really; but, anyway, you did a wonderful job! What did you do, then? To take audio fragments from Filmation's TV Show to create a logic conversation between both the hero and villain? Have an excellent day, my friends! :-(
That's exactly what I did yes. I think most of the dialogue was from one single episode of the Filmation cartoon.
@@hethfilms I understand. It must have been a little bit complex the edition process, but the final product was beautiful and very professional! Watching those vintage action figures move and talk, and listening to Mr. Erwin and Mr. Openheimer once more, moved me to tears. Congrats and keep up the good work! :-)

My boy is a big He Man fan! He got all the He Man figures I bought my little brother originally (he was throwing them away!!!) and loves them. I took him to meet Alan Oppenheimer! This was just great! I am a filmmaker and this was really excellent work! Love to see more!

As for John Erwin, unfortunately he is a very extremely reclusive person, not only does he refuse to come out to meet the fans, he also won't do interviews either

This was great! I don't comprehend the animation style at all, but there's clear talent on display and an appreciation for one of my favorite cartoons, so yeah! Amazing!
Thank you mcuh appreciated! :) We did a 3D scan of the actual 80s toys back then and animated the 3D models using motion captured data we recorded ourself. As an old masters of the universe fan and child of the eighties the work was worth it for me ;)

Glad you noticed that! We actually had to study the cartoons and play these movements in motion capture in a way that somewhat translate to these fairly unproportional action figures 🤣👍

Great job on your video, you really nailed the voices especially Skeletor. And you captured the spirit of the cartoons perfectly, including the morale of the day message at the end. Love it. How you create something is much less important than what you create and if it gives people joy. That part you nailed perfectly.

How the heck did you do that?! That was dope!
Thank you. We 3D scanned the original figures and recorded our own motion capture animations to use with the models. Backgrounds were shot on a smartphone.

Thank you so much :) Unfortunately, we did not record much if any making of footage during the production of this clip. So it's rather hard to now produce an extensive making of. Something we really regret having missed out on.

How much did it cost?
ich versteh's echt nicht...ihr habt über 28k Abos und nach 3 Monaten leider nur 6,2k Aufrufe und noch viel weniger Likes...Genau das gleiche bei eurer StarWars Serie...bin schon seit etlichen Jahren bei euch und jedes mal, wenn ich sehe, dass ihr etwas hochgeladen habt, lass ich alles stehen und liegen um das Video zu gucken xd
Ich finds schade, ihr habt auf jedenfall mehr verdient ^^
+I Am The One Who Knocks Hey vielen Dank für den netten Kommentar. Es ist immer wieder toll mal von Langzeit Fans zu hören und zu wissen, dass es sie gibt :) Wir sind schon oft gefragt worden, warum unsere Werte so drastisch variieren. Ich kann's nur vermuten. Zum einen laden wir zu selten was hoch, da wir den Kanal nicht in Vollzeit betreiben und die Produktion der meisten Clips eine Menge Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Damit sind wir in youtubes System leider weniger wert und werden kaum irgendwo gefeatured. Zusätzlich vermute ich, dass in unseren Abos eine Menge inaktive Accounts schlummern, bzw. Accounts denen unsere neuen Videos gar nicht mehr angezeigt werden. Und zu guter letzt haben wir viele Abos durch unsere Plants VS Zombies clips bekommen, aber die PVZ Fans scheinen sich für alles was nicht PVZ ist, nicht zu interessieren und schauen es deshalb auch gar nicht erst an. Leider lässt sich daran auch derzeit nicht viel ändern. Würden wir versuchen ständig neuen Content hochzuladen, dann wären das nur irgendwelche Schnellschüsse oder Vlog krams und das ist nicht unser Style und würde auch der Qualität unseres bisherigen Contents nicht gerecht werden.
Hethfilms Habt ihr denn momentan irgendetwas geplant ? ^^

+Jonathan Bouler Thank you so much. We do not have definitive plans right now, but it would probably possible to do another one. Hardest part now would be to find enough voice snippets to create the dialogue for another short story if we want to keep the original 80ies cartoon voices ;)

Ja wir leben noch!! ;) Tut uns ehrlich Leid, das wir so dermaßen inaktiv sind, hatten wir uns auch irgendwie anders vorgestellt. Aber leider finden wir seit Monaten kaum noch die Zeit, mal was vernünftiges neues auf die Beine zustellen. Nun kam noch ein Umzug dazu, Auftragsarbeiten und unsere regulären Jobs, die sowieso schon viel Zeit fressen. Noch einmal Schüler sein und Zeit haben, ach wäre das schön! =D
Hethfilms danke der antwort. Ich bin auch bereits 37 und ich hätte weder die zeit noch die geduld solch aufwändige videos zu erstellen. Ich gehöre zu den ersten 500 die euch aboniert haben und hatte mir einfach nur die frage gestellt- ob ihr den kanal habt sterben lassen. Nun ist es ja geklärt, bis irgendwann, gruss.
Hey what is the name of the episode you got the voices from?
I'm sorry it's too long ago, so I can't recall the episode titles, we mixed the voices from several episodes. I do remember that a lot of the dialogue came from one episode where Skeletor tricked He-Man into believing he killed someone. Don't know if that helps you or not, but that's the best I can offer ;)
