I think about the worse case scenario also bec I think its like a defense mechanism to prepare myself for shock or unpleasant news. But I'm in general a person that fears failure. Thank you for this video.

Preparing for the worst can indeed feel like a protective mechanism, and it's completely understandable given your fears. Many people do the same. Thank you for sharing, and we're glad the video could offer some support.

I'm waiting to have my biopsy in a few days after having an ultrasound on an axillary lymph node and it having the characteristics of malignancy. I'm now having pain pop up everywhere, in all kinds of lymph nodes, breasts, nerve pain everywhere. I wouldn't be surprises if half of it is from being hypervigilant because of the anxiety. This is just the worst thing ever.

My technique is every time I start to go off the rails, I take a xanax. I have a legitimate phobia about medical things, so this is my worst nightmare.

Waiting for biopsy results can be incredibly challenging, and the range of symptoms you're experiencing only adds to the difficulty. Coping with these emotions is a process, and finding healthy outlets like talking to loved ones, journaling, or engaging in activities you enjoy can be helpful. Wishing you strength and support as you navigate through this challenging time.

I was absolutely terrified the first time I was waiting for the results from my mammogram back in 2015. It was 12/22 and the doctor said to come back for the results on 1/4 the next year. I knew it was cancer coz I had a lump so I was a total wreck. So I partied like crazy at the end of the year coz I couldn’t sleep coz if was turning into a blind panic. I got a second opinion on 12/25 and the doctor who was my gynecologist assured me everything was fine and that I would get thru the treatment. So when 1/4/2016 finally came I was very relaxed and was able to take the diagnosis very calmly coz after all that stress and partying I was actually worn pretty out. I don’t mean to scare anyone. This is what happened to me. The second time around I was nervous but ok coz I knew the cancer had come back and I knew what was coming. But everything was fine and I was able to get thru. Everyone has their own way if dealing with it. Now I think back maybe I should have exercised more to work off that stress and panic. Thank you for addressing this topic Doctor. Nobody really talks about this kind of thing.
