I actually worked for Fords motor company in Halewood where they built the escort and went onto through jaguar Land Rover until I retired after 40 years service
Beautiful car! I agree the dashboard gauges are placed in strange positions. It should have a wood dash too! What are the black squares on the rear of the car? They seem odd!
Indeed , its a very rare car, with only 28 ever build. The were building them to order. Some were for the US market , hence the LHD. This one was , one of the last and when the business went bankrupt. Steadman shipped those cars quickly out of the UK in a container. This one was stored in a container in the US for many years, in fact there is a second ( and I can get it) one. The two containers came back to europe 15 years ago. And that is how we got this one
A very nice find Steve! The small road wheels look a bit out of proportion, and as you say, the steering wheel needs to revert to something more "period correct" but the paintwork looks really good for having been stored long term, I look forward to seeing it on the road! Chris B.
Amazing car. It appears to have traveled farther in a shipping container than on the roads. I hope you share the story about how it came to you ?
Will do
Reminds me of the Panther J2 too.
Very nice find Steve. I see your taking us on another new RUclips adventure with you..can’t wait to see where we go!

Nice car when they were built was all the jaguar parts that was used new or did they come from doner cars 🚗👍
That was an option by steadman, all new or donor car ... price was accordingly
A beautiful car steve . I can't wait for the story behind the car .

Me gustaría que me gustaran las réplicas. Pero no me gustan. Lo lamento. Pero espero que lo disfrutes y disfrutar de tus trabajos...
Thanks, but this is not a replica as such..... it does not claim to be a SS100.
What a beauty
The UK was always a great car manufacture

Beautiful car. super fun... The Rad fan wasn't spinning..... I'd be looking into that!
It has a viscous clutch. Fan starts when engine is warm.
@@54mgtf22 learn something new every day!
The fan is electric and is temperature controlled.
@@Darryl603 I guess i'm used to my little MGB that the fan is belt driven. :)
That is normal, as it is an electrical one with a sensor
Beautiful car!
TXS
Been wondering where youve been mate..hope all is well, we are finaly out of lockdown
Good to hear, we are out of it as well , but now it gets worse again
Not too much info on the internet about this interesting and beautiful auto. I'm curious as to why left hand drive and not England's right hand drive?
