Well for a simple reason that there may come a time when making life better here won't be enough. For instance, take the example of an asteroid capable of wiping out humans from the face of the Earth. I know that sounds ridiculous now but so did the idea of a global pandemic in 2019 and look what happened now(2 million dead). Reducing scientific exploration and research is not the answer.
Something else is.
Big corporations are the ones responsible why this planet is getting worst.
Because who doesn't like imperialism.
A lot of spin off technology comes from space missions... including solar panels what can help fight climate change...

All circumstantial. She tells a good story but most of it is junk science. They call it climate change now because their was no proof of global warming. The climate allways changes. And the best evidence that humans are affecting the climate say we are doing it at around 1%. We can have affect on some things like air pollution in localized area's but that's micro.

That's why I always travel by public transport and have stopped using all electronic appliances, except one smartphone.
For a person genuinly concerned abt climate chng, the increase in price of coffee & other such prices (economics) is the last thing to think abt, prices may increase a million tms entire economics crashes not a single crow shld die.

You left out the fact that the Greenland glacier is melting because of a volcanic mantle plume melting the ice underneath. Nothing I can do about that. You should research how all the volcanic activity is heating things up. I do believe in living a greener life and am a big fan of Dr. Vandana Shiva's work, regardless. Love your edgy journalistic style!
Also, don't forget about the sun, that is what is causing climate chg. Greenland also grew Record ice last year...coldest temps on record have occurred...chg is happening, & nothing we can do. Pollution is something we can change, & farming locally ♥️🙏🏼

When in school we studied this might happen after many years probably after 100s of years, never imagined we would live through this early. As a child I felt that we could definitely avoid this situation, now as a grown up when I understand how businesses work it looks difficult to manage. I as a common person will do my share of not harming the planet, just to support the child in me who believes we can. Hoping that millions of other hildren will also come together and save the world just like we dreamt!

Its a very good reminder of what's happening for our mother nature. What i have noticed in people in these days is that no one listens to the problem or even if they listen they think this is one of their problem in a day and push it away. But if you provide a solution or steps to do/ follow for the healing of mother nature, people will slowly start thinking and would say will start following the new life style eventually. I would request you to show us how the minor changes in our daily routine can help climate change or how we should change our thought process and keep reminding how we can achieve the goal of climate change.
