The end of game 3 is exactly why a player like Cody is outperforming Mang0 rn.

The composure from Jmook to bring it back after being down in game 3 is insane. Really impressive showing from him.

I do believe top players are not getting worse, but everyone else is getting better at a much faster rate and reaching the skill ceiling sooner. The game is always full of surprises and the lore will always be ripe.

The pause was unfortunate, but you can't say that's the reason Mango lost. Let's not forget that he was up 3 stocks to 1 in game 3 and it looked over for Jmook. If anything, we should be commending Jmook's composure, not many players would be able to hold it together like that.

For everyone b"ching around bout the pause: Mango is a pro, even though it could break his momentum, that's something that could happen and if it affects him, it's gonna be used against him, cause everyone can "stall" in between games (Wizzrobe kinda used to do this on the past).
The cope in the comments is palpable. No good is going to come from leaving a angry comment. Just like Mang0, we have to hold that L.
Holding production accountable for their mistake so they don't interfere with an already going set in the future is all anyone is trying to accomplish.
Same with how production was dumb to put the decision on Moky if the game should be replayed when Jmook had controller problems before.

There’s arguments on both sides I feel like. Top players always talk about momentum, and how important it is to their current mental state. Production on the other hand should handle stuff better yes, but technology is finicky and just fails from time to time. I feel like nobody wins here.

Getting a few minute break after going down 0-2 is so bullshit lmao
When your playing at this level you can't account things like this as a reason for a win or loss. As you may recall even after the "break" (which was actually technical difficulties out of the players control) Mang0 was up three stocks to one. The game was basically over. Until he gave J a inch and he ended up taking an entire mile and the whole set as well. When Mang0 shakes his head at the end he's not made at J or staff he's mad at himself.
@@marquistf1996 i have played fighting games at this level, and yes that kind of break absolutely gave jmook an advantage. The extra time to think about a gameplan or strategy is huge, it is why people used to hate wizzy for it

Whatever advantage Jmook received (which is debatable) it cannot account for a 3-1 stock reversal followed by a reverse 3-0. Mind you the same way wizzrobe took breathers in between games Mang0 could have asked for a small break as well. It's not the reason he lost this set bro.

@bibbyboxx2219 have you ever actually played melee? Go chain grab fox with peach then tech chase fox with sheik. See how consistent you are with one vs the other. Shine and up throw up air are both 5000x more stupid than chain grabbing or tech chasing too. If you don't want chain grabs or tech chasing go play ultimate

Another production L. You don't stop people from playing because of your failure to keep the stream going. Icing someone out and giving time for the guy who is down to recompose is stupid, just fix the stream after the set it over.
I mean, Mango was on the verge of 3 stocking him after the pause and he choked it away. Yes, the pause sucks, but dumb stuff like this happens from time to time. To blame Mango losing 3 straight games because of the pause is pretty absurd.
If you have been a top player for almost 20 years now like Mang0 and you still can’t keep your composure or stick to your winning game plan just because of a 2 min break in the set you don’t deserve to win shit. That said, I don’t think Mang0 let it affect him and it’s all his fans coping super hard. Melee survives because people pay to see it, the people who are in the crowd probably doesn’t even cover the venue fee so good streaming conditions are absolutely necessary.
