as a void user this was so painful to watch :) half the video i was silently screaming at the TV, haha. imagine you would watch me trying out arco linux and i would fumble arround and trying stuff while you have all these nice keyindings for everything, right? and the first thing i do is closing conky and wondering how i could do stuff. yea :) for subline (i assume you wanted sublime) you need to add the nonfree repos overall void doesn't have as much software available as arch, a good portion is available through void-packages to compile, it's still quite a bunch, good enough for an average user, but also missing some other things, browsers for example. but once you get the hang of it the experience improves, the appreciation for the speed of xbps and runit, the ease of use when you discover xtools and xi and things like these. managing services is a breeze. i think void deserves first place on these distrowatch rankings but i'm biased, of course :)
well I hope the developers see videos like these - it is genuine - what do users fight against - stumble into and do not get - there are no challenges for me on Arch anymore but on other linux distros I am a noob again and frankly that is the best feeling - ready to learn - analyze and figure out - as developers we should make it as easy as possible and as intuitive as possible - I found the installation script clear but that is because I have done so many arch-installs in my life - a first comer to Linux might struggle (read will)
I love Void, I used it for a long time!
