If you put two probes in close proximity to each other on the upper half of the body your follow-up shot should be on the lower half of the body so you can split the belt line utilizing the cross connect technology. I live in Knoxville where the POS was arrested. When he came out of the house he begged the officers not to hurt him…unbelievable. He was cuffed using Deputy McGowan’s handcuffs. The suspect was driven from Knox County to Blount County with an escort of LEOs from surrounding areas. At the jail there was a wall of LEOs surrounding him, some of deputies hugged. It was a very emotional scene. The funeral and outpouring of support was extremely heart wrenching. DeHart is a worthless drain on society and I hope he gets the chair, or as we call it in Tennessee “ole Sparky”. His brother was being held on $1M bond, but that was later reduced and he’s now out of jail awaiting trial. DeHart was moved to another county because the sheriff didn’t want him in Blount County, for various reasons. We’ve lost 4 LEOs in 6 months here in East Tennessee. My nephew was almost number 5 but fortunately the thug was so high on fentanyl he had a bad aim.

In my years in Law Enforcement, I continually had the same experience with 140 lb. female officers without the emotional foundation and the physical strength to follow through and do this very hard job. I am not misogynistic at all, but after decades in law enforcement and as a FTO (Field Training Officer) I am simply making an observation based on what I have seen and experienced on the street doing this job. Your Ego will get you killed quicker than anything whether you are a LEO or you get into a road rage incident. This female officer was offended that the guy that she stopped did not follow her directions. She let her ego get involved and so did the male officer. RIP. They should have picked up on the fact that this guy did not want to get out of this car, no matter how many times they told him to get out. Sometimes backing off for a few minutes, talking with other officers on scene, getting more people on the scene, which they should have picked up on that they needed on this stop, and having a person on each side of the car to watch this guys hands, are very basics in Field Training. This bad guy was 250-280 lbs all day long. If the bad guy had gotten out and decided to fight her, alone, I know what that outcome would have been as well. There were a ton of major issues here with how both officers were trained and how they handled this stop. I am sure that Maryville Tn. does not have a huge training budget, but very basic things done differently on this traffic stop, may have saved one life and saved another one from getting shot. Any decently trained officers, that watch this video know exactly what I am talking about. Stay safe out there guys!! Maryville PD, Sorry for your loss. Now take this opportunity to train your officers better so that no one else has to go through this.

I mean, he was minding his own business until a rookie officer decided she “smelled” marijuana. He did not comply with the order to exit the vehicle, but was non-violent until the cop slammed the door shut (removing his ability to comply) and then continued to tase the man. The man was left with two option (1) pray that this cop (who has been nothing but a bully since arriving) will give him a little mercy and stop tasing him or (2) defend himself. I have no problem with the use of deadly force against the officer in that moment, what do we expect a man to do? Sit there and take it? Nah
