However, recently published world genetic map suggests that our DNA composition doesn't bear any similarity to that of current day Iranians. I even seriously dought that the historic Uyghur, who were nomadic, actually moved into current day Xinjiang, especially into Southern part. The term Uyghur was introduced 100 years ago following the European nationalistic movement. Before that people called themselves Turk. My father told me that he almost lost his job because he advocated Turk not Uyghur. Uyghurs are litmus test for China's soft power. If people within your border don't accept you as cultural super power, it is very hard to convince others. I hope people will be able to rise above the difference and embrace diversity and build a true multicultural society in Xinjiang to prove that China also can do what the civilized world can.

Cantonese Taishanese true turanid people somewhat look mongoloid/east asian but their is a visible difference in them, the main difference are I think turanid people can have different eye/hair colors, skin color can vary from extremely pale to thick yellowish and they tend to be taller and have thin noses.
