It took indian govt to finish him off in 3 days (of curfew and media blackout) Yes, punjab unfortunately remained disturbed for next 10 odd years. Jai Hind Major Sahab! I am Dr. Dhruvish, currently pursuing higher studies in UK but I was an army medical corp. aspirant and still am a patriot. My question is: Since conscription is not a practical idea in the context of India, is it possible that many veterans/retired armed forces personnel come together and create boot camps for youth of India, not just to train them to be better aspirants for the armed forces but to create a more capable group of citizens. Train them to be physically capable and mentally aware about how to identify and counter narratives widespread in media. Many amazing veterans like Col. Bharwan, Gen. Bhakuni, Col. Nehru etc. are doing this through their own small scale organizations but can something be done on large scale in India to cover especially the urban youth because in villages the passion for being a fauji already has a positive influence amongst the community. The good thing is that the society is much educated now. Many religious preachers like Dhadrianwale and Sarbjit Dhunda along with political leaders like Sukhbir badal and bhagwant mann have spoken against it, may be not vociferously but they did. I am Dr. Dhruvish, currently pursuing higher studies in UK but I was an army medical corp. aspirant and still am a patriot.
My question is: Since conscription is not a practical idea in the context of India, is it possible that many veterans/retired armed forces personnel come together and create boot camps for youth of India, not just to train them to be better aspirants for the armed forces but to create a more capable group of citizens. Train them to be physically capable and mentally aware about how to identify and counter narratives widespread in media.
Many amazing veterans like Col. Bharwan, Gen. Bhakuni, Col. Nehru etc. are doing this through their own small scale organizations but can something be done on large scale in India to cover especially the urban youth because in villages the passion for being a fauji already has a positive influence amongst the community.
