The intro songs to most of their albuns are honestly one of my favourite parts of their discography, it just sets the mood and pulls you into the album so well
Everything's a novelty Everyone grows but me Close one eye, step to the side Everyone grows but me Everyone's in fragments Close one eye, step to the side
i guess it kind of depends on what specific aspects of this song you like. What I like most about this song (that middle instrumental part), I found I also liked about a lot of stuff from bands like explosions in the sky, god is an astronaut, or if these trees could talk. Could be worth looking into, or I may be kind of off base, IDK.
What in the world. Came here to try to make sure the official channel got the views for the song if y'all had TGM up (since tempo and rhythm choices in this song have always been something I like to chew on, and I'm trying to learn a touch more about music theory/compositional choices) - no clue there was a great misdirect remix/remaster made?? Nice. I feel like there are subtleties in the guitar at the end of some phrases that stand out in a nice way in this remaster that never really stood out to me in the original. If the original mastering was a freshly baked apple pie left sitting by an open window to cool in the breeze, this remaster is an apple fresh out of the crisper drawer in the fridge.
Course not. But, i'm a bit biased towards drums lol. I think the original was just fine. This sounds alright too. Maybe i need better sound system to judge. Then again, i hear youtube compresses audio a bit, so this vid might not be the best way to check the new sound anyway. Bleh.
I don't like all the reverb on the snare and especially the tomtoms on the remasters. Makes it sound too muffled. The bass guitar does sit better in the mix.
This band and this album changed my life. Thank you, Between the Buried and Me.
Progressive metal band makes an indie rock song around a jazz progression.
Brings back so many memories
This intro is genuinely my favorite part of the album and I love the whole album

This is my favorite flavor of BTBAM.
I've always enjoyed this one. Definitely has a "local bar in Twin Peaks with David Lynch serving drinks" vibe.
I wish you wouldn’t have muddled this up for me
@@clocked_that 😅
Or maybe just “a vibe”
Sounds way cleaner & I can hear a lot more things I couldn’t hear before. Very nice!
If we can see you guys performing this gem live, that would be exactly what I needed in my life
Got tickets for sept. 2 full sets.

Lo and behold, the tour has been announced!
@@ndothansky and soon after it was canceled! Colors livestream was sweet, though

the lack of attention to this album is astounding, thanks chase sherwood for introducing me to it.
Makes we wanna hit the beach
I love you guys, this is my favorite record by y'all, thank you!!!
This was a pleasure to see in my notifications
We didn’t know we needed this 🥹
A little less drums, a lot more bass. Even though I prefer the original, it’s nice to hear more clearly the bass lines. Kudos!
Just curious, is there any band that has this kind of sound? I just really crave more of this sound.

Some of porcupine tree's stuff is like this
Rishloo has some songs similar to the first half.
The actual answer is no. This band is unique. Other bands may try but they only scratch the surface.
try the Antlers

Am I the only one who liked how loud the drums were in the original?

I'm sad you sang vocals for only one song.
Anyone else notice some of the cars are moving?
😂
Utube is fucking up bad these days
nice - COz¥ rep
I think the middle part is a bit too different of the rest of the song, like it sounds like something from a complete different track
Lol have you never heard progressive music? It’s basically core to the genera
nah…. original is best.
vocals are waaaay too high
