I’ve experienced the same jolt on a Montgomery Vector elevator at the JCPenney store inside the Buckland Hills mall in Manchester, CT. Other than that, the elevator ran just fine.
If y'all thought this was bad, wait till you ride this Thyssenkrupp Oildraulic elevator in this one garage in Erie PA that I filmed back in January. It was corroded, makes LOTS of excessively loud screeches when traveling in both directions, and was rough as heck. Thankfully it wasn't low on oil... yet.
I remember this store starting out as Borders-it was the only two-story Borders I ever saw!!! Sad to know this store and nearly the rest of this mall will be torn down for Downtown Chesterfield-at least the Dillard’s-and its wonderful glass elevator-will be back as part of the new development at some point!!! 🤞🏻 Fingers crossed folks!!!Hope it’s all true!!!
@@jamesmonroe7903 I've been in a Marshall's down in Virginia that once was a borders and it also had a Thyssenkrupp with Aurora. They installed a Schindler 330a as their service elevator also
Chesterfield may be the only dead mall with a Cheesecake Factory. What was the original 1983 Famous-Barr elevator like there? Records say Montgomery. Did it have Epco Flushline like a lot of early ‘80s Monties?
Wow, for a "death trap" - according to some others this elevator is popular. Your video is one in a string of 9 videos made from 2017, 19, 22, 23 and 24. Maybe the store owner watches RUclips and notices that the elevator has been getting a lot of publicity and so they are keeping it with it's signature "bumps"
Wow! The bump was so big it sounded like everything was shaking for a second.
I LOVE the Captain America right above the call button ❤🤍💙
Cool
I was on that elevator a few months ago. Scared the crap out of me lol!
I’ve had that before lol
Still better than the one that Jowevator3219 filmed at a metro station.
that hydraulic power unit need some love to tune it
That might be what is keeping this elevator popular. I saw that there are 9 videos for it.
It does
Amazing and Epic buttons!
I love Aurora buttons!
But yeah they need to work on this thing!
It is closed down now
@@DieselDucyso this thing is gone?
@@DieselDucy i think it was sitting for a while
Nice video
Thanks
Seeing all the comic book characters on the lower level made me think that the Incredible Hulk caused the big bump before you started ascending.
lol

Damn
Oh yes this lovely thing. I guess we can call this a ThyssenCrap Elevator 😂
lol
On one of the videos for this, the CC text said "kiss and crap" and on another, it said "ties and grip".
This mall is going being demolished
yep it is.
What a Horrible Aurora is, but I like the fixtures at least
Yep
And on top of all that... it has America's most obnoxious buzz in the cab
Yep lol
With theelevatorchannel Thyssenkrupp elevator rear door Dover buzz door close doesn’t work
Ok

@@DieselDucy It sure is!!! It was such a vibrant and exciting mall for many years!!! One of my favorites!!!

@@dmvelevatorsandmore Cool on both counts!!! Those are fine machines!!!
1:23 Jason (STL Elevators) can be seen.
Yep.
I think he made most of the 9 videos for this elevator which will now live in infamy here on RUclips.......
Barnes & Noble?
V stock
@@DieselDucy I never went to that store before!
Even though I like TKE, I’d be afraid to ride this one
Lol
TKE's tractions are better than their hydros
What the reason for the DieselDucy Train flash @ 0:30?
Hidden dieselducy
I think he does it instead of holding up the actual miniature engine.

It had circline
@@DieselDucy Nice!
I thought the original 1983 F-B elevator was an Otis-the escalators were Otises and they rode Otis-smooth and quiet!!!
Oh my gosh, that’s terrible
It was
Sadly it is now closed
Correct
I hope the elevator is already fixed as of 2024.
Store closed. Being demolished soon
That sucks. Another one bites the dust.
@@DieselDucy Well I guess it would be pointless to fix it now..........
Definitely worse than what I have seen, I rode a ThyssenKrupp Aurora with a Blue floor indicator (dead though), and it ran better than this.
I know right?
Not thyssenkrupps fault it’s the places fault like you
Mentioned the that video at north star mall with chase and Carolina
Totally
That Vintage Stock Chesterfield Mall is permanently closed now and you should hear my reaction when I filmed that elevator
I'm willing to bet this used to be Borders
Maybe.
@@DieselDucyIt was originally a borders according to Jason.
Oh wow that didn’t sound good at all. This is a very nice thyssenkrupp elevator but it needs better maintenance 👨🔧 super badly
This store is now closed.
Yep it is
@@DieselDucy Well, that least there's still the one at Mid Rivers.
🤢
