Life saver, thanks ! I had this problem but I fixed it somehow then I got it again when deleting temp files. I followed the tutorial while using the old version of Asus bios. Thanks !
@tayclark1901 mine would only boot into bios. Not recognize the m.2 and not allow me to change boot options. Through the instructions of this video and this video alone, I was able to boot into bios and recognize the m.2 as an OS. Which allowed me to pick the correct boot so I can go into OS after the computer is turned on.
This does not work form me. I have a Asus Proart Z690-Creator motherboard. It shows the same bios layout as in the video. OS Type is set to Other OS in Secure boot, but CSM cannot be disabled. You cannot even activate the dropdown list to see the possible choices, it's all read-only.
@@laubert6674 I did some research, and the only explanation I found on an Asus forum is that when you use the integrated graphics of the Intel cpu, you are forced to use EFI boot. This is really crazy! You must either install a separate graphics card or modify your disks for EFI boot. For me, the graphics of the cpu are sufficient, so I changed my disks.
@@hannahm.6077 See also my reply to @laubert6674 . If you mean: how did I change my disks? I reinstalled the OS on a disk with 2 partitions: a small one for secure EFI boot and a larger for the OS. How you do this depends on the OS. Usually there is sufficient info available for doing that, or the installation process itself takes care of it.
Great Video which I found whilst trying to solve a problem that I think is related to BIOS/CSM & Windows, hope you may be able to comment to point me in the right direction. I have x2 M.2 SSD in my Z490 Asus M/B I can boot to Windows via M.2_1 (Samsung 500GB EVO) I can see but cannot access a Gigabyte SSD (I actually have 2 and can see neither) installed in M.2_2 I have CSM DISABLED If I try to look at the drive, DISKPART, Dive Manager or any other utility, then on reboot the M/B reports code 42 and the LED report a storage issue. I don't think I have x2 M.2 SSD that have failed at the same time. Have you any suggestions that could help ?

Hey nice video @techbrother1866 I have a boot issue after installing some pirated software. PC can't boot, it goes to windows recovery environment. Never setup local password just fingerprint and pin but account to microsoft account. It's password has changed and the pc doesn't seem to have updated it. Wifi was turned off when installing malware. Can't open command line nor utilize recovery options 😵💫 It's a Windows 10 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop. Not sure if windows has corrupted data, if software is overiding startup, if bios is corrupted, or if it's the rootkit. Would you be able to walk me through any solutions?
