Thank you. Perfect video allowed me to get my main beam from nothing to 100% working again.

My girlfriends car would flash the high beams when the indicators cancelled. Eventually the indicators stopped working altogether.
The headlights themselves were then on constantly and wouldn't turn off and the window wipers stopped working.
We bought a replacement light switch stalk for £24 and I replaced it thanks to this video. Problem solved, thanks.
So please note that the wiring on the left stalk can also cause issues with the wipers on the right stalk!

    Thanks for the video!
I had some issue’s, the headlight switch, the fog light switch and my wipers didn’t work.
In my case, one of the wires inside the stalk was broken. With a needle i was able to get it out of the plug and i managed to get a fresh piece of wire into the plug. Everyrhing is working now!

Thanks for a well done video. I found that releasing the wiper stalk (not removing!) makes access to the white plug a bit easier.
The bottom half of the cover can be removed for better access but the top half has wires attached
Take photos all the way so reassembly is easier.

Front wipers were not working. Knew it was not motor or fuse. Followed this vid for the wiper stalk and cleaned the tracks with meths and a quick rub with 0000 grade wire wool. All fixed and £130 saved to spend in the pub once the lockdown is over!

Legend. Thank you. Warning to anyone buying replacement parts off ebay - there is a green connector version and a white connector version - they are not interchangeable!
Flipping the little roller around and cleaning it all up did the job - here's hoping it goes another 16 years

Useful thanks and also lead me to fix a wiper issue I would not have thought was linked. Wipers would only work when activating the washer jets, no function of any normal rain speeds. Then the light switch became very temperamental, sticking on or off etc. The link was the red wire loom linking the light stalk to the wipers where there was a broken wire. Bought a non gen one of ebay for £22 (Renault was £177!) and fixed both issues.

Hi there!, I just wanted to pop by and say thank you very much for this video. I did exactly what you stated and it also fixed my issue. I was lucky as I had proper contact cleaner spray from farnell here in my lab so I used that instead of the IPA. I decided to give everything a clean where it was mechanically switching.

Just finished servicing the switch but the cause of malfunction turnsout to be 1 of 10 wires broken at the switch plug.
I gut the plug end to reveal the clip and soldered the wire to the exposed clip. High magnification was required!
Assembled on the car and all working. I've ordered a new switch to replace the repaired unit which will be backup.

Well colour me amazed! I've only gone and done it! 😁👍🙏
I had issues on both stalk pods so took both out and dissembled them. My 2009 Kangoo didn't have rollers just spring contacts and I gently prised them out a bit. Just as I was doing the last one, I noticed the loom that connects both pods had three broken wires on the indicator end 😳 My eyes struggle to see stuff that small but I put on two pairs of glasses (really!) and could see the ends were just pushed into scissor grips. So I picked out the old ends, pressed the wires back in, re-assembled and everything works!
Hallelujah, can't say how happy I am and grateful for your video.

I am not sure but inspect for fault in the wiper stalk or wiring between the two. I couldn't find a relay that controls the wipers but there is a control box behind the glove compartment that might affect the wiper operation as well as the central locking.
