Breakfast in Hyderabad Episode 2 | Mid night Dosa at Ram ki Bandi

- I started this breakfast journey with midnight breakfast at Ram Ki bandi, then next day enjoyed Organic food at Paaka organic cafe, followed by last day breakfast at Minerva coffee shop.
This food journey was special because if enjoyed Dosa at 3 in the night at Ram ki bandi, then Millet at Paaka followed by Pongal and Upma at Minerva.
Details of food joints visited by me is given below:
Breakfast food journey Day 1 to day 5 in Episode 1
Day 5
Ram Ki Bandi: This bandi starts breakfast at 3 in the night and ends it at 7 am. I was quite surprised to see more than 100 people waiting to have Dosa at mid night.
Pizza Dosa Rs. 120, Dosa was crispy, with good quality batter. Enjoyed the chutney that was served along with Dosa.

I really like all your videos and appreciate the work that you do by bringing to us restaurants and road side stalls we can explore in each city. You must visit Madurai and try authentic tamil veg and non veg food there. Also visit, Nainital and Corbett and try kumaoni food there.
I have left lot about Madurai... lets see when can i go there....i will try to visit on hill station this summers not sure whether that would be Nainital or Shimla...

Try paradise biriyani which is no 1 and world famous, pista house's haleem. In hyderguda area u can also visit cafe bahar for biriyani,haleem other nonveg items. Try some shawarma in old city area. U can get lots of snacks in charminar area. And hotel shahdab in charminar area for regular foods. In new city u can get authentic andhra cuisines. Many hotels are there. U must try pathhar ka gost. And dont forget to learn hyderabadi hindi. Thanks.
yes i visited couple of places for Biryani at Hyderabad you will see those places as we go... thanks... Hyderabadi hindi... i learnt few things... you will notice that in veg food episode
Paradise biryani taste has been downgraded a lot in the past few years
There are so many restaurants in Hyderabad which serves Biryani tastier than Paradise Biryani.
Good. Pongal looks like Upma(Sooji ka upma) in gujarat. Amazing.

yes it was nice but you need high energy level to go there and have dosa at mid nigh or early in morning

Sir, Good Work. You are giving important details. I am basically from Chennai and tour extensively all India. Firstly, Pongal, is authentic in Chennai, and that too, a Breakfast Food. The pongal that you took in Minerwa (Like this only you will get almost in every restaurant) reveals not authentic. Reason: The rice should not be visible. It should have been doubly well cooked. And, in Brahmin house, don't more ghee. In Restaurants they do.
Likewise the Bombay Rava Upma: Should have been roasted before making the upma. The colour clearly indicates it was not roasted. Moreover the reason for roasting is to avoid raw smell of Rava.
Thank you so much for this info.... As we go i would love to have Upma when i travel to South so over 3-4 experiences i get to learn more about it and its taste....

Your videos are too short. You should keep them long as before. Also u looked too tired in the video. Keep well sir and work out more so you can continue for long else your health will take it's toll by eating food with high sodium and oil.

I agree, bahut jaldi khatm ho Gaya, info was great lekin rushed laga. 20-25 minutes is a good length, which is a length of a television episode. Otherwise, mujhe kuch yaad nani rehtha. Indore and Amritsar remain my favorite series. :-)

Hyderabad food is innovative fusion, but for authentic South Indian dishes u need to try it's source and majority are from Udupi (Gadbad ice cream u can never get like in Udupi) and u can see majority of hotels outside South India is established by Udupi people .... Wishes from Karnataka and waits for ur episodes of Karnataka...A thumbsup for this episode

Harishji, Chennai mein apko bohoth badhiya Pongal mikega, zaroor nariyal ki chutney, vada aur sambar ke sath try kijiyega. Method of preparation is quite different from what you saw but similar to how we make khicchdi in Delhi.

Amazing video. Enjoyed watching it as usual. Me and my husband love eating out late night. Alag hi mahaul hota hai. We went out late for coffee or food in Pune at 2 am or so. In my city, we have only one cafe that's open 24 hrs so we go there for hot chocolate in winters after 12 midnight.
oh! yes nice to know that but every time i keep myself awake i land myself in trouble... like in Hyderabad, before that in sarafa.... actually i am an early to bed and early to rise person....
but yes the experience at Ram ki bandi was worth it.....i was quite amazed to see so many people at this bandi at 3 in night....
