Loved the mystery house, but not having a bathroom upstairs would kill it for me, and there was no place to add one. I always chuckle when someone says "it's homely" because in the US homely means ugly.
Completely agree. I LOVED the mystery house, it was so adorable. The quintessential chocolate box. But having no bathroom upstairs would be a no-go for me. No way I'm walking down the stairs in the middle of the night half asleep to go to the bathroom.
Do you suppose they meant homey? Yeah, I'm with you about the bathroom. I can trip over my own feet when I'm half asleep. Adding stairs is a recipe for disaster!

The part where there once were cows and now lavender is grown there made me really happy, because cows milk is not for us anyway. Thanks for sharing another - old but gold - episode!
I was surprised when she said she was gonna continue her search and maybe put an offer in after that..I thought she loved it and it was only 3 miles from her daughter. 🤷♀️
My cousin lives near Watchet. It's a lovely area. I can't believe the owners of house #2 left all those copper decorative items. House #2 gets my vote. It's a bit quirky without being a pain to function in. The mystery house is lovely, but lack of an upstairs toilet kills it.
Loved the mystery house, I'd have taken that one, downstairs bathroom and all. Of course, in the day, they'd have had a chamber pot under the bed! She loved house 2 and it was great, but I didn't feel she needed all those rooms and spaces - as well as the main house, there was an attached, converted barn, many sheds and outbuildings. What would she do with all that, and it's all those extra buildings to maintain for a person on their own. I had a feeling that she wouldn't buy it finally.
Liked house 1 but I'd knock that living room and dining room together. I get that she didn't like being so overlooked though. 2 was nice didn't love the upstairs though.
House no:1 gorgeous gardens, magnificent hydrangeas and awesome kitchen...loved house number 2, number 3 is what she asked for..no neighbours and 2 BR's..again stunning gardens... BTW may I just say how gorgeous the presenter (sorry dont know her name..everyones anonymous on these shows for some reason) looks pregnant. She's stunning every time but pregnant she dresses particularly femininely (?)...omg Ive just realised her child would be 8 now in 2024...
