Another vase from Carole Rothman's book of bowl making. This one she intended to be more advanced and finished inside and out by building it in sections. I managed to sand all of the inside except for the very bottom. For that she used a flexible shaft sander that I do not have. Mine is a dremel flexible shaft and cannot handle the inflatable ball sanders. That is something that I will have to remedy in the near future. I did not put any finish on the inside on this one but may revisit this project with a darker center ring and a better sanding system. I used cherry where she used redheart for the center ring. The cherry does not give the contrast that I wanted with the veneer rings above and below it. I like this one as it finished but would like to improve on it at a later date.
