Finally ! Why has this discussion not happened years ago ? Good example of the importance of understanding history and paying attention to geopolitical events that have been orchestrated by the U.S. government during the post War years. Good riddance Kissinger !

I'm a Christian. And Hitchens is - if I dare say so - doing God's work here.

And he would call you something for certain for saying so. This isnt the compliment you think it is.

@@rosysulla I think he'd grin in a rather ironical way.

@@JonTrott Sure. The renowned atheist who had deep contempt for the hypocrisy of religion would think it jolly fun to be told by a Christian he, the atheist, is doing God's work.

@@rosysullaAlso a man of words and literature who had no qualms with a turn of phrase. He was far from an unnecessarily serious and dry character you seem to make him out as.

Remember that Christopher supported the invasion too at least to some degree. He talks about it in his memoir, how he was part of the group of social democrats that convinced the government to go to war against Saddam again.

It makes you wonder who was really protecting him. We know more about his past now. He was part of a neo-Marxist group at Harvard. The same group that mentored Schwab. Hitchens completely ignores that Kissinger orchestrated the rapprochement with the CCP and facilitated the decades long of the Destruction of Western industrial strength.
