Hi, I'm having an issue where my screen times out at 2 mins, and after it times out and goes black whatsapp won't auto play the next auto message. This only started a few days ago. Do you know a fix for it? I often get audio messages that are sent across multiple messages and total over 20 mins. I'm sick of having to tap my screen (or unlock if I'm not fast enough) to keep the messages playing. The longest I can keep my screen from timing out is 10 mins so even that's not really a fix, it just delays it a bit. It's not a sensor issue, I've already tried that.
Why showing so fast you should show us slowly so we can understand your video easily,it's to boring to tap reverse every time for details i think you should improve your video editing hland dislike from me because it's to fast, and difficult to understand,for every detail reverse the video and puse and watch and star again ,it's waste of time sorry for dislike

Even calling my phone does ring but cannot be answered. So then only a force restart (power button and volume key) gets the phone back to working again. Other notable issues are: - incoming calls when screen is locked cannot be answered unless I press power button but doing that reject the call. - double tap to wake screen don't work All these indicating to some sort of sensor issues. are you sure that you are using a compatible screen protector? if you have any doubt please change your screen protector often these issues happen because of your incompatible protector!
@@NOT_MOUNT_7 lol hahaha rn im having the same problem. before this, I used the privacy screen protector, turns out i can't use my on screen fingerprint properly. today, i changed it to a blue ray matte screen protector, fingerprint works finely but can't play WhatsApp Audio without screen stay awake 🥲. so i need to change it to a standard screen protector isn't it?

my oppo f9 pro have this problem.but what amaze me is,the problem solve when i use low quality lcd.which mean have problem with smooth touch and ghost touch.when i change with high quality lcd with good touch perfomance,this problem voice whatsapp come again.what the hell to do.

I Followed all your step, before clearing data I took a backup also, after clearing data backup is not responding, my all data gone, what should I do now ? Data was too important for me.
That doesn't help, I have a fresh installation of whatsapp and when I play audio the screen turns off and the audio stops. I'm not the only one in my family with this issue (and we all have different phones). This is just a Whatsapp bug that Meta is too lazy (and/or useless) to solve.

I simply removed cache and uppdated my WhatsApp and it worked.
I'm having the same problem but it wont turn back on no matter how hard i try it works perfectly fine just the screen is black and wont turn back on

Meta is just downgrading WhatsApp by putting awkward bugs in it. No other app has proximity sensor issues like even the phone call.

It was all caused by a clear case that was interfering with the proximity sensor. Changed that, all issues resolved.
