A great alpine pass, drove also once over it many years ago, in 2009. It was the end of April and there were walls of snow about 3-4m high near the road, was an unforgettable experience. Thanks for bringing back nice old memories, greetings from a fellow roadtripper and creator from Germany!
I have watched videos of the train travelling between Tirano and St. Moritz. It was interesting seeing a road trip. Nice to have both perspectives. I will say...had I not seen a train, I would have been disappointed. :) Not in your control, I know.

In almost every video of driving in Switzerkand you see road works being carried out. At least the Swiss people know where their tax-money is going. Also, the tower on the Bernina Pass is a part of a combined road maintenance shop ( the pass road is kept open all winter, even after meters of snow has fallen) and an experience center about the surrounding countyside.
Random thought: I know the Swiss authorities would never agree to it in a million years, but can you imagine if the World Rally Championship ran a stage through here?
