@@rickysickles1842I joined Independence after shore duty in Japan. This video was shot while we were underway to do a rotation in the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch. I've got a few other videos from that cruise on this channel too. It's always good to hear from an Indy vet. Thanks for your service Ricky.

I served from 92-94 AIMD w/c 64C (ECM). Best chow in the Navy! Best custom omelets for breakfast and mid rats!
I served aboard the Indy from 1992 to 1994... I was an MS.... first in ship's company then in Flag (CTF-70)
I still have my ctf cap. 93 was there

1973 Med Cruise in the Indy. RVAH-14. We flew the RA5C Vigilante. Fond memories of this ship.

The food on the independence was atrocious back in the 80s.The sub tender i was on for a few days had much better food.
All that lagging work in the galley I did while we were on the way to Git-MO after we left Philly
