As an animator, this was one of the first "indie/obscure" animations that really hooked me in to loving 2D animations. I've been animating since 2008. And I will NEVER forget this video. Ever. Please never delete it man. Total inspiration

I'm so obsessed with this song
I think this animation is a critique on consumerism. It's neat how the song tells us that cocaine is bad and yet in the animation, businesses and capitalists will do whatever they can to keep us addicted on consumerism, toxic media and junk food. I think the anonymous guy is being pressured to conform to this kind of lifestyle due to the bombardment of advertisements and the people surrounding him having that lifestyle. In the end, he's seriously questioning on whether he should conform or not.

But, personally I'm a Social Democrat that pushes for remedying the problems of free-market capitalism with Strong Unions, Strong Social Safety Nets, and Strong Regulations like we see in Europe/Scandinavia which have the highest standard of living and happiest populaces, and then experimenting with Cooperatives from there to see if a mandated Co-op market is effective.

I think this video could be interpreted as a pointed discussion about the fact that we are constantly told drugs are bad for us, yet big corporations feed us drugs every day in the forms of processed sugar, cigarettes, alcohol, mindless television, toxic social media, fast food, materialism in general... People who take "real drugs" are shunned, shamed and made to feel like they've thrown their lives away. Yet, when you look around is anyone else in society any better? I really like the way the animation and lyrics interact; on the surface they're about different topics but beneath they really talk about the same idea. I'm not sure if my interpretation was the intended meaning but either way I like this a lot, great job :-)

I still love this video so much. I love the usage of a different language (Spanish) to convey that whatever you say, whether people understand it or not, as long as you smile and entice, people will become consumers of that product you're displaying. The words don't matter. Although it quite literally helps us out with saying "it's not good for you" in English that this product is NOT good for you obviously, we still believe this happy man who wants us to buy something addicting and damaging. It's very similar to saying things behind an other's back in your language, and switching to your own language with that said person acting all innocent. The moral wall is now divided and convoluted between what is actually said, and if that person is just ignorant because they don't know the language or try to learn it, or the other side where it's the speaker's fault for enticing ignorant crowds with expensive, unhealthy products. Well done on the animation to convey such an undetermined thought!!🙌🙌 (so sorry if this is explained poorly)

Okay so this whole animation is so mesmerising and smooth, but the part I couldn't stop watching was 0:32. I just loved how realistic every movement of the character was. The movement of the head, the cloth, and the hands were just so satisfying and gorgeous it must have taken ages to draw every frame so realistically to perfect it. Sorry for the long comment but I just can't stop thinking about how outstanding it is.

i just found this now and not only do i love the track, but this animation just flows so perfectly with the music in every way
from the wonderful lip sync to the message behind it that can be interpreted in different ways, from the unique + interesting art style and to the very nice fluid movements, this is just put together so thoughtfully and nicely
