PS. I am not a fanboy, but I really love my Apple Watch Series 3. I didn't expect to be so enamored, but it's near perfection. Esp. love the open water swim workout where I can see where I swam in our local lake. Much to love about it. Durable, no scratching in 8 mos. Quick to charge, and if you turn of "raise to wake" (where lifting your wrist activates it) you can easily get 2 even 3 days. And it won't constantly wake up when you are in bed, which is annoying.
Great vid!! 😄Just so you know, you can use apple pay on all other watches even without your iPhone. It even works if you have airplane mode turned ON on the watch.
Good review. One thing is that level of water resistance is the same as the Series 2. You can swim with both and they are both resistant up to 50m. A key differentiator for the 3 is that it has its barometric altimeter enabled and fully functional - which is a major benefit, especially to those who like to track their outdoor activities and also keep track of floors climbed per day. Garmin has been offering that feature for a while now
Thank you. I'm thinking about buying an apple 3 because it tracks swimming as well as running. . Ive had a Garmin 220 for 3 years which I use for running, swimming and windsurfing but I've just discovered that you're not suppose to put it near water never mind swim in it.
Love it at the gym personally. I’m always scared of my phone slipping out of my pocket and falling, or dropping a dumbbell on it or hitting with a weight while it’s in my pocket. Can leave it in my bag or locker. Also knowing who’s messaging me or calling me without taking my phone out is super convenient.
looking at this video has helped alot you got yourself a new subscriber for sure im really wanting to get one but idk if i should get gps or cellular the only reason i would get cellular is because i work at the hospital and im always on the go or in a rush. but i will also get the gps because not only does it have the red crown which is cool but it tells directions only thing is i havent found a video that shows how to use it. great video though really got the info i wanted
For hikers the addition of GPS/GLONASS is welcome, but until the battery life can last more than a few days this is a no-go. For that reason I'll stick with a Garmin Fenix 5x. Fully mapping and activity tracking plus a battery than can be on the trail for over a week without needing to charge. Granted that's a limited use case, but it's "my" use case. Great feature highlights otherwise.
Just an FYI to anyone wanting to use it in a pool, I have heard that Apple's official policy is that it won't be covered under warranty if it's determined the watch is damaged due to water.
Sort of. Your watch will record the info, like fitness, and you don't have to LTE and will send the info when the device is within range. IF you want to stream music from online, then no. IF you have LTE, then yes.
Thanks for this video. I've been a version 1 user of the Apple Watch and you convinced me to take the plunge with the LTE version 3. Should be receiving it in about 3 days.
just curious why would you still have a Fitbit?? I had the exact same one, but as soon as I got my iWatch series 3 LTE I gassed the Fitbit. Was horrible with battery & charging etc, don't miss it at all!
I've had both a Fitbit and AW for years now and wear both every day....I am intending to sell on the Fitbit soon though as the waterproof of the AW means I never have to worry about forgetting to take it off...and a white suntan band on each wrist is becoming a bit daft
I long for the day where the Apple Watch is just a phone on it own without having to own an iPhone. I can’t wait to not carry a phone in my pocket all day
ALL Apple Watch Series 3 can use ApplePay w/o the iPhone with you. This is an important mistake you make here. I have the non-LTE S3, and I use ApplePay all the time without my iPhone. Buyers: think carefully about getting the LTE, it's not worth it. And certainly don't get it thinking that's the way to use ApplePay without your phone. It isn't.
I had it on last night. Got it yesterday. So, when I went to bed the battery was almost full, but when I woke up after eight hours it was down to 30%. So had to charge it in my car at work . Was full after a few hours. Then 8 hours later it back at 30%. Is there something wrong with it perhaps?
I use it in conjunction with a sleep tracking app called Sleep Cycle. To make sure I have plenty of battery, I set the watch to charge while I'm getting ready for bed, that way it is almost full when I sleep, then I charge it again while getting ready in the morning. Doing this means I never have to worry about my battery dieing on me.
4G / LTE, 1 hr talk time then battery is flat, completely dead!!! In UK it is exclusive to operator EE. You then have to pay an additional fee for the 4G capability piggybacking on your phone number. £5 pcm. Then your EE plan for your phone. If you want Apple Music streaming, that costs more. That is a shitload of cash every month.
no kidding. My apple watch 1 did that after two years. But I'm stupid enough to buy this one! With the warranty this time. Never buy those warranties but this thing is fragile.
Mine did as well. I called Apple and they replaced it free, because the battery had swollen, causing the face to pop off. There was an internal memo describing that policy within Apple.
So did mine but on the series 3! Ok I must have knocked it! Then water got in-between the glass while swimming and sauna! = Dead Watch! Do not wear them in the sauna sporty people! Apple store genius replaced it out of kindness. :)
That happen to my first generation Apple watch during the second year. I did not have Apple Care and did not want to spend a fortune to get it fixed. I repaired it myself using Crazy Glue. It's still my everyday watch but for special occassions I wear my space grey Series 2 Nike Sport Edition!
eh...i have a series 2 and its the same as the series 3 non lte...i have my music playing without my iphone when i’m running. i go swimming with it on and it works great. series 2 is the same as the 3 non lte, and much better of an option than the series 1. i go 2.5-3 days with sleep tracking.
When the series 4 comes out the price of the series 3 will go on sale. I bought the series 2 Nike Sport Edition when the series 3 came out and saved a lot of money.
thank you so much for all these reasons it really helps me to persuade my parents to get me this
Lol

This should be titled "10 Reasons to Get an Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE"
LTE is for poor losers
Lol
So true
I have an Apple Watch 2, and I’m waiting for the AW4 next month. Should be much improved. Hope it has a camera.

Good reasons, but I have the AW2 and I’m waiting for the AW4 next month. Hopefully it will have nice improvements besides the larger screen.
Pete Shaw I thought it out tomorrow?
I bought me a Apple Watch series 3 yesterday am I the only one burly gettin use to how to use it I love the color tho I got the rose pink one

Thanks for the great video.
I like to tie my phone to my forearm, makes me question why should I buy an Apple Watch now??

I leave my phone behind and have the LtE watch but a red X appears on my watch haven’t figured out why it happens.? Any suggestions

Apple Care?
Any idea of forecoming countries for sale of LTE watch? (Specially Mexico)
Good video. Very articulate commentary about the Apple Watch... subbed you.
Thanks!!
Do fitness apps run independent from the iPhone? If I left my phone in my gym locker during a workout, will the app still work?
Sort of. Your watch will record the info, like fitness, and you don't have to LTE and will send the info when the device is within range. IF you want to stream music from online, then no. IF you have LTE, then yes.
Great video! I learned a lot.
I only use my Apple Watch only when I’m working out I like to use the activity tracker other than that I don’t use it
Why do you wear a fitbit as well?
I'm always switching devices but I want one consistent place that my fitness data exists which is why I wear a Fitbit as well.
I’m saving up for a Apple Watch but I don’t have enough money lol
Thanks for this video. I've been a version 1 user of the Apple Watch and you convinced me to take the plunge with the LTE version 3. Should be receiving it in about 3 days.
Rob M You won’t regret it I love mine can go all day and using it and still have over 50% left over.
Excellent video
Thank you!!
just curious why would you still have a Fitbit?? I had the exact same one, but as soon as I got my iWatch series 3 LTE I gassed the Fitbit. Was horrible with battery & charging etc, don't miss it at all!
Lol iwatch haha
Get a job Rohan then maybe you can buy one and comment lol cruising RUclips at 4 am...
Richard H I’m 12 lol
Depends on what fitbit, the ionic lasts 4-6 days and is more focused on fitness. This guy obviously works out and probably still uses his fitbit too.
I've had both a Fitbit and AW for years now and wear both every day....I am intending to sell on the Fitbit soon though as the waterproof of the AW means I never have to worry about forgetting to take it off...and a white suntan band on each wrist is becoming a bit daft

you don't need LTE to use Apple Pay without your phone...works on Cellular watch and even series 0
The LTE one drains battery so much faster than the wifi model
RanDOMZ yup, 1 hr talk time is shit. Using other cellular functions and u have carry ur charger with u. 🤣
RanDOMZ only when using LTE. I have one, and it lasts 2 days or more. I do keep wrist detection off though.
How you turn off the LTE
So true

👍Very helpful. Thx 😁
Does it track sleep patterns?
Yes it does.

The apple watch dos not track sleep or sleep patterns. It's not like fitbit.

Dude was reading the script from his phone 🤣 Watch him keep glancing down. Its okay next time just write it on your inner forearms 😂
You don't need LTE for ApplePay. I go for runs with my Apple Watch Series 2 only and pay for things easily...
DasSuperschaf7 he didn’t say that , he said you don’t need your phone around you to use it with the lte version
Just to let you no you never needed the phone with you with the series 2 for Apple Pay nothing to do with LTE
Am I the only one wondering why that lady gave her kid $20 for Ramen

I recommend 1.3x
Battery life
cool gadget till the face pops off
no kidding. My apple watch 1 did that after two years. But I'm stupid enough to buy this one! With the warranty this time. Never buy those warranties but this thing is fragile.
i can't bring myself to blow another 500 on a toy gadget

Nice. I didn't realize you can get that kind of battery life out of a series 2. I had a series 2 and almost always it was dead by the end of the day.
Not exactly true. Series 3 (non LTE) is much faster then Series 2. Much better battery life.
Here on 54 views and 2 likes..and i keep refreshing and I cant find any comments but I’m NOT FIRST I CANNOT I WILL NEVER

Apple music sucks, this watch looks absolutely useless for the price
What if you can't afford one
Buy a unbelievably cheap used series 1. Try and keep it on the previous os version though.
Don’t buy one lol
When the series 4 comes out the price of the series 3 will go on sale. I bought the series 2 Nike Sport Edition when the series 3 came out and saved a lot of money.
You can finance thru your cell provider now a days
