Love this. I now have good ways of dialing in blind. Before I would go to forums for a grinder and look for where others started. This looks like a sound system.
Loved the video. The one thing I would’ve liked to see you test is the shot time of the Single dosed grind vs shot time of full hopper grind. I’ve found that when I single dose on my grinder it grinds ‘coarser’ than when the hopper was full.
if getting clumps means the grind size is very close to being right for espresso, then why didnt you do that from the very beginning, before the first shot is pulled? and the part where you kept the grinder on and kept adjusting it to a finer setting to get clumps is also confusing, because clumps have been there all along...
Loved the video, thanks but you talk about wastage then why 22.5 gms as a dose. Where did that come from? Most videos I've seen use 18gms in 36 gms out in about 30 seconds. That's what I normally do. Is the flavour that different from 18gms to 22.5gms?
I have the same grinder. If you tilt the grinder, you don't need tap the grinder to get the rest of the ground rested in the grinder. I actually put door stopper at the back of the grinder to tilt the grinder.
WHat a helpful video. One of the other topics I dont hear the "top" reviewers cover well is dial adjusmtnet precision, granularity and repeatability. The craziest thing I hear so much talk about is noise! LOL...Which is like complaining about loud music at a concert or club. Yes, there are differences and reasons, but get a grip people. And reviewers get themselves sucked in. Yet they hardly ever cover the precision and grind size on a grinder.
My new all-in-one Expresso machine can't grind fine enough to raise the correct pressure when extracting. I've just ordered a Hibrew G3 grinder in hopes of getting the fine, consistent coffee I need.
I’m not worrying about the 2gr waste inside. I’m worry about next day when I grind another shot, those 2gr will come out which makes the shot contains mix of both old and new ground. Will that be a case?
Thank you for your video What do you what grinder should I buy as my first grinder. I'm thinking about gs7 and gs0. They are approximately the same price now... I'm inclined to gs0. Thanks in advance.
Yes I plan on opening a coffee cart and doing pop ups and like farmer markets what’s a good machine you would recommend that will work well with doing more then in home but not yet kill bank want stay on low budget and only plan do cart on weekends even if single group machine if I can get dual group that will work and won’t cost me a kidney I’d do that any help this is a dream of mine and I want try get things implemented with in next year.
You can use a good Italian home machine for about $3k and start. As you grow and pay off the machine put it at home and get a bigger commercial machine
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters any you recommend!! Honest I not sure I would want expand from a cart with cart I can keep over head cost down etc. with staying small and portable and I want to buy my stuff out right before I start I don’t want to owe money for machine and supplies have enough to start and build with profits. And any help how I can start adding cost up to decide and break down the cost of what goes in the drink etc to charge I been trying work on that.
Great information ,thanks. One question, re timing the extraction, are you aiming to extract the required shot weight of 45g in 30 sec right from the first drop or when you actually start the extraction as this can make a big difference.

Thank you from Michigan.

This is usually because of pop Corning and no pressure to the bean. Also the burrs set quality. Is is flat burr or conical?

Thanks a lot from Tehran 🌹
My pleasure 😊

Nice 👍🏻
Do you recomend this grinder for espresso at home ??
Thanks for the video. will a bellows instead of the hopper help towards a "zero retention" grind?
Yes it will, it just pushed the caught grind thru

Did you mean 1/4 of a turn? You went from 0 to 5. Or am I missing something in the method?

They’re both good grinders but if you want the stepless grind adjustment and ability to single dose the go for the GS0. 👌🏻

hi Guys,
What do you think about the lever pulled coffee machines. I work on a La Pavoni 1978.
Lever machines are great, I just bought a flair 58🤙🏻
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters we have 1 La Pavoni 1978 - 3 groups and 1 Gaggia 1976 2groups.❤️
Hi there, do you have a barista course available in melbourne? I want to learn about making coffee.
No, sorry
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters thanks for your response
Nice one 👍

From when we start the water on to the espresso, so when you push the button. We aim to have 6 sec before the first drop, based on the 22.5g dose
what is the name of this grinder ?
Precision gs7
