Between Christmas and New Year Mr 80 Quid, The Machine and I went for a paddle on the River Don after a week of rain and storms. It was lively to say the least :)

I can't wait to get back on the water again. I'm a fair weather paddler as I don't have all the winter gear. Plus I'm not a cold lover. Always good to see you chaps having fun
With the right gear it's not as cold as you might think. Still, as you say, we do have fun 😁
Tell your friend to make a youtube channel so I can watch videos of the Gumotex Rush haha, I have one but haven't been able to get out for some time due to a number of reasons.

Nice video, thanks. It always amazes me that there is no UK inflatable kayak club (unless there is and I can't find it). I watch the Swedish air kayak day with envy, it would be great to get a big group together once in a while with so many great rivers in the UK.

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner thanks for reply. my chelan 140 is being delivered on Friday and I have never been in a kayak before. How do,I know when to use a skeg and when to leave it off?

I’m 5’4, is the Chelan 140 too big or is the 120 good enough for me?😊
If you're not planning on loading it with gear, yes the 120 is fine. However I'd seriously consider the Deschutes 110 and upgrade the seat.
i am 5'5 and wondering the same thing - i think the 120 is so tiny it limits options -like gear, a dog if you have one or have a friend with one and the kinds of water you can use it in, perhaps -where the 140 just seems to offer a lot more options, go alone, with a friend, with gear, overnight... and it likely tracks better as well due to its length... did you make a decision?
