From the recording for the episode of The Tube transmitted on Channel 4: Friday November 4th, 1984 (other songs recorded: Shipbuilding, Everyday I write the Book, Clowntime is over)
I saw them too at the Greek theater in Berkeley with the Aztec camera, that was the longest running concert l have ever been to - they always gave the fans their all- the tko horns were awesome
Unbelievable. He is a genius. I just wonder why most musicians speed up songs when they do them live. For this reason I kind of like the studio version more.
Today is Boxing Day. So I went online to look up the chords for this Punch the Clock nugget. No chords on the internet for this tune or Mouth Almighty or Pills and Soap! Oh well, I guess I'll move on to Charm School... but man what a rave up they deliver here!

Fantastic horns section, as usual, of the Attraction.

the pace here almost makes it a Get Happy!! track
Isn't it just down to adrenaline?
The king of that was Miles Davis. He'd play tunes at such a fast pace when he was onstage you'd think he had to catch a bus.
It's the adrenaline
Squeeze used to do that too. I like the pumped up live versions.
Bruce IS the best .. such a shame how that ended.
Good basist, but he's a shit talker too.
love that elvis
