Booger McFarland of ESPN said it best yesterday when he said " the future is very bright for the Nebraska Cornhuskers " --- as I have said before every player who dons the Scarlett and Cream becomes a member of my family for life and never has that been more true than it is with Rameer Johnson...............class is the best way to describe this young man !
I see this as a culture change and a mentality change game more than anything. This got us over a hump we can now say “ok we did it last year we’re going to do it again and more this year.”
The weather and field had a lot to do with snapping, blocking, running with receivers. This happened to both teams all game so I wouldn’t put too much stock into the mistakes that happened. Even the blocked punt. How hard would it be to block a guy on a grass field where people are sliding 10 yards. I understand special teams was bad all season but this game is an outlier not really a data point. We played with great intensity, that’s what I was looking for. Seeing the mentality the players would show up with is the biggest data point for me and shows the coaches had them ready to go.
Alot of good takes as always. Relatable. It is very evident You 3 Care.(are good/real huskers,) That is what's best about your show. Keep up the good work.HNY! GBR!
Threw this up on Twitter a few weeks back, but y'all should do an episode going back through your preseason Top 100. You could grade them as Higher, Lower, or Same rank as the preseason rank.
15:59 go look at the blocks HH hit through this game, doesn’t need weight to survive and thrive, also don’t say he looks small compared to the guy this channel has spent the most time criticizing for not being what he is supposed to be!
Unrelated. I know everyone loves tradition but I’d love to see the team come out wearing black helmets like the one on your desk during the Penn State game next year.
Had to field some Q's from friends worried about d line next year with 0&9 headed out. That's the least level of worry per position group (LLWPPG) I'm my mind. OL OL OL OL is on my mind
That late hit, wasn't. But, it also wasn't really critical to the outcome of the game. It was, I believe, first down. And he gained several yards on the run, making it short yardage to get the first down. Buttchin should have been been flagged for his hissie fit after.
Jim, disagree. When our 90's rb's coughed it up, there were Always people in their corner. Not making Excuses, like noone is Today, but quick to point out good defensive play, and, it's football, it happens.
Was this a defining win for Matt Rhule at Nebraska, or was this a throw away bowl game?
Defining W. Bowl games Do Matter. This W Proves it! GBR!🏆

100000000000000%
No bowl is a “throw away”. Great momentum heading into next season. Great show as always guys! GBR!!!!!
Couldn't agree more. Big win to end the year and send a message for next season!

F yeah
Good take
Once again appreciate you guys
Always. Would love to connect about possibly getting you on the show. If you can, shoot us an email bigredjunkies@gmail.com

I agree, the field conditions had a big impact on the game. Good points.
Rhule sounds like he's going to do some serious arse kicking in the recruiting dept this year.
Hope so!

Thanks man! We appreciate that!
Haerburg is 6'5" 225lbs and Fidone is 6'6" 256lbs

We are definitely working on something along those lines! It’s a great idea!

Valid points...
I think Hog leg erson made the difference. He changed the team's vibes.
Brought an IDGF factor
Shaversssssss ❤

That would be cool
Black helmets with the white jersey red numbers and red pants with white and red shoes. That would be neat. Just for one home game.

OL is a big question mark. Very interested to see what another offseason does for the youth in that room.

Nothing Worse than Fake Fans/ huskers
He’s throwing the passes not the coach. Stop making excuses bro
Not making excuses. Raising questions, because the film is the film.
Wow. Making excuses for a Husker RB to fumble. How far we have fallen! You would never hear this in the 90s....never!
1st off, there's no excuses. Just calling a good play by the defender, a good play. 2nd, it isn't the 90's.
