Looks like a 2-1/2 gallon bucket. In that case, using a 1 cup dose, the batch washes 40 loads. 2 oz of soap/40 = 0.05 oz/load. A paper clip weights that much. It’s affordable because it’s so watered down! It’s a 0.6% solution of soapy water. Mainstream detergents are 15-20% surfactants. Expect results comparable to washing with plain water.
Wow. 😱 Aren’t you first going to ‘try’ it? Certainly she’s likely been doing her own family washing with this recipe and without mishap. I like your mathematical message, but feel that it could, frankly, be tempered with some good ole fashioned sense of “politeness”? ….. just my opinion …..
